Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition is the best dungeon crawler in recent history. It looks great, it plays smoothly and it’s filled to the brim with content. This is truly the ultimate version of Diablo III. [Aug 2014, p.61]

Really this is an expansion pack, and it's going to cost you almost as much as a new game, so if you are a veteran of Diablo 3, be aware of that.

You run through a large world in isometric perspective and kill and smash everything that looks like you can smash or kill it. The more you do that, the more you are able to develop your character and your equipment.

The main attraction is the collecting of rare stuff and putting it either on you or your ally. As with previous versions you are also able to play in multiplayer co-op which makes the game even more fun. I enjoy this type of game in bursts, but it is getting a little tiring over time. The Diablo series might be the most perfect incarnation of its genre, but you don't grow as attached to your character as in an RPG in a stricter sense. Yet it's fun and clearly better than its predecessors, with more beautiful cutscenes, graphics, a larger world and a lot of customization options. If you liked the previous entries in the series, this one will not disappoint.

    1. Decent lenght of the game (5 large worlds with over 30 quests).
    2. Local and online co-op campaign for up to 4 players.

    1. Decent lenght of the game (5 large worlds with over 30 quests).
    2. Local and online co-op campaign for up to 4 players.
    3. Lots of various monsters and rewarding loot.
    4. You can control your character directly with joystick (no more click-to-move crap).

    - - - Cons - - -
    1. The inventory and user interface is designed for 1 player only (awkward and small text).
    2. The story is a rehashed crap full of cliches (typical save the world).
    3. The cinematics are just static pictures (except intro),I expected more from triple A production.
    4. So many effects and filters on screen, that you have no idea whats going on.

If you enjoy fast hack and slash/action rpg games like Darkstone, Sacred, The Incredible Adventures of van Helsing or Titan Quest and you missed (or waited) the crippled PC version, you now have the chance to enjoy the best possible version in one package.

It seems repetitive of them, always giving the gamer whatever they want when they want and conditioning how we play.

For starters, the Reaper of Souls "expansion" offers way less than the expansion for Diablo 2 offered, second, no more "introductions" for creating new heroes, third, rather anti-climatic and one way ending.

the story bit seems a lot rushed and doesn't explain correctly many points and questions raised, but, effectively opens the door for a sequel... -sigh-

let's just hope the next one isn't as bad as this one.
