  1. Dec 15, 2010
This brash, good-looking newcomer has all of the usual EA spit and polish you would expect. [Issue#198, p.88]
  2. Dec 15, 2010
In the end, EA Sports MMA is a fantastic foundation for the series, and delivers a very fun experience overall. However, it suffers from some robotic animations that cripple the intensity of the fights.
  3. Oct 20, 2010
But no matter what the future holds, EA Sports MMA is a title that MMA fans should appreciate, and is a refreshing take on the MMA genre.
  4. Oct 20, 2010
MMA is a fuller game that celebrates the broadest scope of the sport with a loving precision, while UFC brings out a roster of more recognizable fighters for a more casual, beer-and-buddies experience.
  5. Oct 20, 2010
While MMA might be the better game compared to UFC Undisputed 2010, it would be folly to ignore the void left by the lack of the UFC license. The Strikeforce league might be increasing in popularity, much like the sport in general, but it barely commands the weight of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Its branding is sorely missed, alongside Joe Rogan's and Mike Goldberg's industry-leading commentaries.
  6. Oct 20, 2010
Intuitive controls, a lengthy career mode, and impressive online options make this mixed martial arts game a serious contender.
  7. Dec 19, 2010
EA Sports MMA isn't as intricate as the sport it represents; it never presents itself as an arcade-like representation, so it's hard to not notice that it is a lackluster effort within the simulation genre.

This game even blows the UFC 3 game away.
This is closest to how MMA functions.
UFC3 even tried to copy the submission system, but failed
A real shame there is no sequel, this team really understood MMA.

awesome game, plenty of choices and move sets, great caf, fun career mode. between this an undisputed its a fantastic debut effort from ea. the roster is filled with great fighters and even if you dont know them that's an unfair way to judge this game. go get it, its worth it. Expand

Awesome game, destroys UFC and the online actually works. Gameplay is smooth and strategic and the knockouts look terrific. I used to love UFC Undisputed 09 but 2010 was a huge let-down. EA MMA is superb. Expand

MMA is good, not great. Graphically its pretty and controls are solid. There don't seem to be enough special moves. I also don't like the fact that it lacks UFC fighters! I think I'm sticking to the real UFC game by THQ. Expand

Graphics suck. Controls sucks. And no, I'm not being buyist. I just don't think this was that good of a game at at. If you like Fight Night get this. If you don't get UFC. The only good person on ther IMO is Ken Shamrock. Mainly becuase Daina White said If any of hus boys go to EA and want to be on the game he'd fire them. So IMO this game sucked Collapse

Terrible game is terrible! Why would you buy such a terrible thing? Better to get a better fighting game like Naruto 2 or Dragon Ball z Raging Blast 2 Expand
