  1. Fat Princess presents a captivating world, an absurd premise and classic gameplay in a very well balanced and original game that is both amazingly funny and fun to play.
  2. 90
One of the most original downloadable games to date. The amount of strategy that exists is plentiful and there is more than enough content included to justify the purchase.
  3. Either single player or online, Fat Princess delivers excellence in every way. The single player is quite short and should be looked at more like a tutorial for the very deep multiplayer aspect. If there were one thing I’d like to see added to Fat Princess it would be split-screen local multiplayer, other than that I can’t complain.
  4. Innovation has always been one of the cornerstones of the gaming industry, and Titan Studios deserves a round of applause for going back to the basics with this game, adding a nice little twist with the whole princess concept, and bringing us one of the better downloadable games of the year.
  5. 80
The multiplayer mode is the key, though. Without that, there isn't much here for a single player to enjoy. Playing against bots is okay, and the survival and (quite clever) soccer game are fun diversions, but nothing beats running around a map full of 32 real players.
  6. While the game does have its flaws in poor AI and the sometimes never ending games, the colourful comical gore ridden game, as well as the catchy game title, did manage to grab my attention.
  7. 60
Ultimately, Fat Princess is a victim of its own focused creativity. It may have visual appeal and at first seem to offer a lot but it doesn’t take long to realise proceedings are rather dull; matches last a ridiculously long amount of time. In tiny bursts there’s definitely some appeal. It’s just ever so short. [Issue#183, p.80]

This is the best PSN game made. The graphics are awesome and the gameplay mechanics are fantastic. The story gets the job dome, but its the multiplayer that will keep you playing for hours and hours. This is a must buy. Expand

Simply the best game ever released on the PSN since WipEout HD. The concept is plain and simple and allows for maximal 16 on 16 fun.

Well worth the $15! I played through the "single player campaign" before going online. It was challenging, but definitely helped me learn the ins and outs of the game. I had some trouble connecting to other online games, so I hosted my own. Played 5 rounds without a hitch. The game is not super complex, but its probably more complex then it seems at first; the ability to quickly change character classes allows for some interesting strategy. Don't underestimate the worker class, I pwned more than my fair share of warriors and rangers with the upgraded worker's hand-held bombs! Expand

While I had some fun playing with the cute little graphics and story line, the darn little computer players on your team just do whatever they want, so when you really want to upgrade something, you might have to wait the whole game, but otherwise this was a fun and enjoyable game, and while it was short, the replay value was very high... I expect a sequel. Expand

Easy with the 10's, kids. This game IS a blast to play online (while the offline mode leaves much to be desired), but it has blatant balancing issues. A team of 3 humans and 13 bots against 10 humans and six bots is absolutely NOT a fair match up - especially when the bots have the reasoning skills of a rock. When they give us an auto-balancing patch so the matches are always even, then I'll consider it a 9. But until then, this is a B- grade at best. Expand

this game is boring. matches last for a long time without any progress. Without a team full of friends this game is mostly a bore and will most likely waste time. Expand
