  1. Soccer is a free-flowing game of creativity and skill, and I can experience that on the pitch in FIFA 11. Unfortunately, weak spots like the game's bare career mode hold it back and keep the entire package from being Total Football.

FIFA 11 really is the ultimate soccer experience and any fan would do well to give this game a play. New improvements to the gameplay mechanics make this years iteration even more appealing than the last.

Year after year FIFA 11 is getting a little better. EA has made probably the perfect football game with FIFA 11.

All in all, FIFA 11 delivers the goods. It's got the presentation down quite well, and the overall fluidity of the gameplay is unmatched.

FIFA 11 doesn't reinvent the genre. It does however take the astonishing fundament of the past versions and polishes the experience by adding some excellent new features and changes. Is it the best footie so far? Maybe. Is it an extraordinary game? Without a doubt.
  6. If you're looking for a football game fully capable of recreating the real atmosphere and feelings you'd experience on the pitch, FIFA 11 is surely the answer. If you consider yourself a football fan, you absolutely can't miss it.
  7. A large portion of FIFA veterans, as well as new players, will undoubtedly be blown away with FIFA 11′s realism and satisfying gameplay; it's staggering to notice the amount of polish and improvement the latest iteration of FIFA has received, but it's something you really must experience in order to truly understand.
  8. There are still a few issues with the online side of things so if you're thinking of picking this up solely for multiplayer purposes then you might be left a bit cold right now. But offline there's more than enough to sate any footballing hunger you've had since the World Cup and you'll be hard-pressed to find a better football game for a long time.
  9. Yes, you could get by with last year's game, but you will be missing out on what will probably be the best sports game of 2010.
  10. The remodelling in FIFA 11 made the experience more genuine and realistic.
  11. FIFA 11 is better than ever with many small adjustments that combine to make real changes as to how digital soccer should be played. This is as close to the real deal as you can ever ask for.
  12. This game definitely isn't perfect, but it is the most solid addition to the FIFA franchise thus far. FIFA 11 represents the greatest and most mature simulation of football in a video game to this date.
  13. FIFA 11 is THE soccer game. Personality+, Pro Passing, REAL AI and all the other features build a near-perfect gameplay, with a lot more of variety (compared to FIFA 10) and a visceral realism. Simply amazing!
  14. FIFA 11, has seen some significant improvements over last years version, most of which come in the gameplay mechanics. The focus seems to have been set on creating the most authentic football game ever, and I'm pleased to say that FIFA 11 easily achieves this.

FIFA 11 doesn't redefine the football game, nor does it bring with it bold or surprising ways to play. What it does, however, is refine an already superlative game, taking nearly every aspect and polishing it to help create a whole that's notably superior to its predecessors.
  16. The passing is perfect, graphics [are] breathtaking and the new modes are worth your time and then some.
  17. FIFA 11 doesn't try to reinvent the formula, but to perfect it, and it mostly achieves it in the best football game of the year.
  18. Just when we thought that last year's edition was the peak of the summit, the guys at EA Canada have proven there is even more to the mountain. This year stands-out as a must own title and once again, the pressure is on the competition to try to catch up.
  19. FIFA 11 is the best football game in the current generation of consoles. Perfectly balanced gameplay and massive amounts of content make the latest EA Sports game an experience that any football fan will love.
  20. FIFA 11 is once again the best simulation around with small improvements here and there and the same freedom and perfect control over the players. The offline game modes and the atmosphere inside and outside the matches need many improvements tough.

The FIFA franchise claims the victory over the Pro Evolution Soccer series again this year. FIFA 11 is definitely the best football game available, at least for the next twelve months.
  22. FIFA Soccer 11 takes what it already did great in FIFA Soccer 10 and adds bit more to the overall gameplay and design to make it even better.
  23. In the end, FIFA 11 is for true soccer fanatics and if you're looking for an arcade experience, unfortunately now is the time to look elsewhere for your soccer fun.
  24. FIFA 11 is more playable, refined, and feature-packed than any FIFA game before it.
  25. FIFA Soccer 11 doesn't have any groundbreaking new additions, but is without a doubt the most accurate and realistic soccer game on the market. For the hardcore soccer fan, or even the average interested gamer, this is a must pick-up.

Fast, frantic and fun, FIFA 11 is a master-class in how to make a sports game. Almost perfect in every aspect, it is difficult to see how EA will improve on it for FIFA 12.
  27. To many it'll still seem ludicrous that sports games are worth the purchase every year, but for anyone who's ever kicked a football in their life, this is the definitive choice.

FIFA 10 was a great game and EA does it again with FIFA 11. The game is even better than last year, because of the many small improvements and new features. Every new element is a great one, except for the possibility to play with the keeper, that's kind of boring. But besides that, it is a fantastic game!
  29. Another season, another amazing FIFA game. 11 is loyal to FIFA 10's legacy, and keeps its strong value and gameplay strengths. Solid and awesome paced soccer, FIFA 11 retains its crown as the best sport game this year.
  30. With the number of licensed clubs, Career options as a player and manager, and online component, FIFA 11 will keep you busy for a long time.
  31. FIFA 11 is huge. Filled with licenses and data, amazing production-wise, with photo-realistic visuals and incredibly truthful animations, EA's simulation delivers a convincing gameplay paired with a thrilling atmosphere. From the rumbling of its stadiums to the hit music of its menus, this 2011 edition fills us with joy, as it's surprisingly able to innovate yet again, despite the franchise already being the frontrunner. Praise the 11 versus 11 online play with the ability to play as the goalkeeper. You're more of a manager. The career mode is there for you. Add several subtle additions here and there, and this year yet again, we'll have to call it "the king FIFA". And if the way EA Canada has paved up until now is any indication, it seems the throne isn't ready to waver.
  32. The last few years have seen the FIFA series come on leaps and bounds. This year is no different, with a welcome update to the visuals and presentation stakes, whilst again, EA have beaten down hurdles to bring gameplay to a delicate balance between realism and fun.

  36. The game looks and feels just that much more authentic without feeling like we're sitting through 90 minutes of Stoke City versus Wigan. [Dec 2010, p.85]
  37. Yes, we have a deeply romantic view of FIFA 11. After our initial concerns it would be too sim-like, EA have rounded the edges and made a representation of the world game that rings true. Every soccer fan will be playing this for the next 12 months. Acquire on sight. [November 2010 p68]

Hmmm..well , i used toi be a staunch pro evo fan but Fifa 10 made me sit up and notice, which i bought and Fifa World Cup. I thought that Fifa World cup nailed it with the game play so I was eager for Fifa 11, now its by no means a bad game , it has stacks of options the career mode is nice and deep which will keep you occupied for ages, but...what EA have done with the Ai is not good , now i understand what they were trying to do in listening to fan feedback re the ping pong passing etc, but i think they have left out the fun element. The game tends to decend into a midfield mash of tackles and lost balls, it doesnt flow anymore like Fifa 10 did. The Ai doesnt give you room to breath, the passing is awful as and the game is far too slow. Ive noticed as well the Ai doesnt do the off teh ball runs like it does in 10...again not a bad game but its not brilliant..bit of let down for me. Full Review »
