You play as Harry, Hermine or one of Harry's friends to defeat the dark lord, but with a total play time of 4 hours I would have expected a better gameplay.
In the game you can play for Most of the characters and it is worth noting. The authors have removed the side jobs that were getting in the last part. In general, this is a cool game with a gripping storyline.
A nice little game. It may be short, but really captures the feeling of the film. Spell-casting feels fluid and exciting. Yes, it may be a far cry from earlier Harry Potter games, but then, the books and films at this point are much darker. Finally, we get to play as other characters from the fiction, and it really adds something special. No longer can you spam one spell and get away with it. Having to switch spells whilst others 'recharge' makes you feel a sense of danger, and a sense of how scared Harry must be. All in all, I'd have preferred a longer game, but with the possibility of replaying sections of the game to earn more points and some beautiful world art EA have created something pretty close to the movie and fun to play.
Harry Potter's latest adventure is basically a nice try to fix everything that didn't worked at Deadly Hallow's first chapter. The shooting scheme is nothing more than a waste of the original atmosphere, but nevertheless, it's still a worth-try-for-rental game if you're looking for something connected to the movies.
Offers little variation and hardly requires strategic input, which leaves a mindless third-person shooter. The well-executed story and great looking characters make it a tad more interesting, but these elements can't hide the fact that the four-eyed magician often turns to his wands for simple and selfish needs.
This is the absolute nadir of the series. Harry Potter has finally devolved into a total cash-in and we can't score it low enough. Honestly, if you're a fan of the movies, avoid this and just go to the theater. Don't spoil the end for yourself with this half-baked mess.
It’s a really fun game, and despite those critics, it’s worth playing if you love Harry Potter. Yes, it might be a little off, but it is still amazingly good!
tbh i didnt like this one as much as the others but i still thought that this was an alright game i missed wondering around the castle and all the side missions that gave you something to do if you got bored of the storyline
This new Harry Potter game isn't terrible, (like the others) but it's just below average. Graphics range from very good to quite ugly, and the story is just non-existent. The different characters seem fun at first, but then you realise they all function the SAME! However, the gameplay is good, with a fun shooting mechanic, but having to do basically the same game OVER and OVER again! And that's what this game is; it's a lazy, repetitive, faceless mess!
WHY THE HECK ARE PEOPLE GIVEING THIS GAME A 10? This terrible. Its rubbish, the gameplay is slightly better then the first game but guess what. I rented this game and finished it in just under 4 hrs. ARE U KIDDIN ME!? The stupid dim-witted developers abominated the book and movie with Call of Duty, Gears of War style shooting game. The only positive thing I can say about this game is it follows with the movie other than that, this is just a cheap, rushed, knock off.â
Like almost all previous HP games, this one is barely playable. Fans of the movies (or worse, books) will be terrified by the unimaginative execution. Lifeless characters go through the motions but the game is lost somewhere between "shoot stuff with magic" and "connect the dots, follow the movie". All muggles will struggle to understand if there's actually more to the story of the Deathly Hallows than the simple arcadey sequences set up for this game. There is but not here. Watch the movie again, read the book, avoid this game.
SummaryHarry Potter takes a dark turn in this third-person shooter as he battles death eaters and dementors while fleeing for his life across the wilds of England.
