  • Summary: (Also known as "Legendary: The Box") Legendary tells the story of Charles Deckard, an art thief who is duped into stealing Pandora’s Box. When he inadvertently opens it, he releases hordes of beasts thought to be fictional – such as werewolves and gryphons – into an unprepared modern world. A full scale war between man and myth begins, and it is quickly complicated by the actions of powerful secret societies. As the person responsible for releasing this terror, Deckard’s unwittingly become the only person capable of containing it once more and saving civilization from being destroyed by the terrifying creatures. 1. This could well be a surprise hit for those willing to invest the time. Despite a lack of polish, there's a relatively deep story for fans of mythology.
  2. 68
There is a lot of hope buried under the surface and if they can manage to unleash it, the game could truly live up to its namesake.
  3. Legendary is by no means a legendary experience, but it's not a train wreck either. It's not worth the full $60 asking price, but it's a good rental for anyone who wants to punish some ancient myths or who's in need of a decent FPS to pass a few hours.
  4. The Minotaur says with his sad cow eyes glistening “Don’t worry guys, everything will be alright”, but the Minotaur knows it’s not going to be alright… it’s not going to be alright at all.
  5. Even if you have too much time and money, Legendary still isn't worth a purchase.
  6. Just about everything about this title comes up short. Disappointedly short. All the makings of an interesting story and gameplay are here, but it’s as if the developers had a “it’s good enough” attitude.
  7. 23
Unfortunately, the gameplay comes across as messy and incomplete, the arrangement of hazards and threats from monsters is ineffective at best and boring at worst. Plot points and development is practically nonexistent, and the standard shooter mechanics just fall flat.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Even when Legendary had some pretty bad reviews, I decided to give it a try since it was available for a cheap price. I must say that I was positively suprised by the game. It had some issues, like with the cutscenes lagging a bit at the beginning, but overally it was a decent game. It might have been a bit too difficult for these modern casual gamers with its small "puzzles" as there was no guides. In the warehouse with the first werewolves, I tried using boxes to get to the upper level and it didn't work. Got fustraded and shot a barrer which I then noticed to cause the platform go higher with the other getting down. That is what a game needs. Few puzzles that will make you mad and, after finishing, jump in joy. Anyway, Legendary might not be the best game out there, but definitely worth atleast one playthrough. Expand

A really poorly done game. The soundtrack is garbage, The storyline is terribly written, The framerate on the ps3 is horrible, The Gameplay is ok, but its just not that fun to play. Just look up a review by gamespot or IGN, and you'll know why this game sucks. Expand
