  • Summary: With the exclusive video game license of the NFL and its players, and currently in its 17th installment, Madden NFL 07 puts you in control the running game like never before. For the first time ever, step up as the lead blocker to create a hole, and then take control of the tailback and smash through, overpower, or slash away from would-be tacklers as you fight for every yard. Innovative rushing controls give you a game-breaking ground attack featuring all-new jukes, cutbacks, and the distinct running styles of your favorite backs. [Electronic Arts] Expand

  1. A lot like the Xbox 360 version of the same name, with some minor Sixaxis functionality added in.
  2. 83
If you're moving from the PS2 to the PS3, you'll most likely be impressed by the title, but if you happen to own the 360 version, there's not really anything included here that would make you want to purchase this title again.
  3. If you go in expecting the game to be revolutionary you can’t help but be disappointed. However if you’re just looking for an enjoyable and solid game of football, you’ll be happy with the game.
  4. If you have the 360 version of the game already, then you probably aren't going to be going ga-ga over the SIXAXIS stuff, and the PlayStation Network, for being free and what it is, still isn't enough to hang with Xbox Live.
  5. As was the Xbox 360 version, the PS3 version of Madden NFL 07 is a very good football game that doesn't quite live up to the full potential of the latest console hardware. And while the game looks and plays quite good on the PS3, the added Sixaxis control support isn't really that impressive.
  6. It's completely average. As a next-generation title, its visuals leave a lot to be desired. And when you're not peeved at how boring it looks, you'll be peeved at how dull it sounds.
  7. This mess somehow gets worse with every play...It's like buying a Ferrari only for it to fall to pieces as you drive out of the dealership. [May 2007, p.118]

Madden is such a disappointment. I put my faith in them a few times and EA lets me down each time. Roster updates is all they are and rehashed lame polishing uninspired game play mechanics. Espn still has game play that is more fun and more realistic. It will hold the test of time like last generations techmo bowl. I have play madden 2000, 2003 was the best. 06 terrible 07 not as good as espn. 08 in my opinion was good, 09 and up is so lame and pathetic to call them football video games. The Players act and move like robots. They don't have any flow to their movements. Expand
