  1. As much of a surprise as it may be, Mahjong Tales: Ancient Wisdom is definitely an enjoyable game to play when you need to take a break from all of the shooters and action games that are out there. For $10, you get three entertaining modes that offer quite a bit of content that will take you a while to get through.
  2. This game would have fared better on the PSP, or DS for a portable solution at the doctor’s office (which I genuinely do hope they consider this). Even a version on the Wii or PC would have been preferable, it doesn’t seem to match the PSN setting.
  3. Mahjong Tales: Ancient Wisdom is a boring, and uninspired take on classic Mahjong Solitaire, and it's definitely not something I suggest to people looking for something on the PSN.
  4. For a mildly cerebral experience it’s probably up there with the PSN’s other puzzle titles. It is overpriced, however, and the score reflects that.

If you like Mahjong you will like this game. My wife loves it. When she read the reviews on Metacritic from IGN and Gaming Age she was like, "What do they expect? It's Mahjong". We like the multiplayer on it, she likes the different game types. For $10 we are definatly getting our money worth out of it. Is it the best PSN game around? definatly not (Cuboid and Magic Ball from the same developer are better) but it's not a waste of money and a lot of fun.... if you like Mahjong. Expand
