I'd say the Mass Effect 3 Citadel DLC is the add-on to acquire. It's full of fun and feel-good moments. In fact, I'd say that it's so good that it makes up for the lack of a happy ending.

If you're not up for about four hours of BioWare cutting loose on everything from Shepard's "I should go" to Wrex's post-genophage sex life, avoid it.

For hearkening back to fond series memories, and for its heartfelt goodbye to characters we love, Citadel is Mass Effect 3's best single-player DLC and a worthy send-off to Shepard's crew.
  4. The latest and greatest DLC for Mass Effect 3. BioWare clearly put a lot of love and care into this small bit of fan service. It takes itself less serious than the main game and that is what makes it so special. BioWare couldn't have said goodbye in a better way. [April 2013, p.89]

Remember all those squadmates that you wish you could have had by your side in Mass Effect 3?
The Citadel DLC allows all/most of your old
allies to return, and with little mention of the dark Reaper war raging on, the tone of this is a lot different. It has a villain that you love to hate, and the party that you get to throw makes you wish that you could replay it over and over again.
From EDI cooking curry to Liara and James arguing over biotics, this whole DLC is filled with Bioware's utmost care.
They should be proud of the universe they have created, and if you are going to get one of the Mass Effect 3 DLCs, get this one.

This was by far the best DLC, and arguably one of best missions of the series, and extremly entertaining with many easter eggs. It brought much needed closure to the final story tying up many remaining loose ends that the extended cut did not. It is also very commical and a great last mission with your crew. Not giving all the cool parts away, i can say we get a ME1 style assault rifle (inf ammo) which i love. worth every penny. Expand

Mass Effect 3 Citadel dlc is the best dlc for this game. It brings back all crewmembers from the previous games and you tackle the most hilarious 4 hours of the Mass Effect Trilogy. Everything from Wrex talking about his new sex life to grunts drunken citadel rampage. You fight a new group of mercs and get to keep their toys as well as some new weapons and armor. Whether you're hanging out in the arcade or dropping credits in the casino there will always be something to do to get you away from the war. Throw a party for your crew while you reminisce on past events from the trilogy. Urdnot Wrex is the coolest mother f*er in the history of videogames and he proves it to you when he rejoins your squad for this last great adventure of the Mass Effect Trilogy. All in all the Mass Effect 3 Citadel dlc is the best way to truly have fun with the characters you love and in the words of Commander Shepard "The best." Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Citadel is a very good DLC but Bioware should have taken a piece of humble pie and made this a post ending DLC. From the beginning, It basically sets itself out to be one last hoorah with your squad-mates and its basically just that. The idea of the clone trying to take over Shepard's life was pretty good for the most part and you get alot of good clean fanservice fun from the Mass Effect 2 squadmates who were ignored as "cameos" throughout the main game. The party idea was a tad bit out of left field, the whole galaxy is being destroyed by Reapers and its only only hope is on the citadel throwing a house party while all that is happening? I get that its fun and you're trying to make up for the endings but come on. If anything, after you've experienced this DLC you'll only wish the endings were better in and of themselves. Another thing I didn't like was how my main LI (Ashley) was basically given no real screen time or got any special interactions with my Shepard before the main mission on Earth even though Kaidan(the other virmire survivor) got that, same with Wrex and Garrus. I also didn't like how Legion was ignored or never got a proper send off as neither did Mordin. But all in all, Citadel is a very good DLC and I greatly recommend it but I still prefer Leviathan.
