  • Summary: The brutal offroad racing festival is back, with players this time attempting to tackle the diversity and unpredictability of a remote Pacific island environment. MotorStorm: Pacific Rift revisits the intense racing action introduced in last year's MotorStorm, this time allowing players to navigate a radically different tropical environment chock full of lush jungle, towering peaks, and crystal-clear water. Players experience a greater selection of tracks and vehicles to choose, as well as extensive multiplayer options including four player split screen and races with up to 20 players online. Additionally players can utilize a new photo mode to save images within the game and for the first time be able to take music from their PS3's HDD to create a customized soundtrack. [Sony] Expand

The PS3's most dramatic and beautiful racing game. [Issue#172, p.72]
  2. Fans of Motorstorm will love Pacific Rift.
  3. As a racer, Pacific Rift hits all the gears – it just lacks that extra one to kick things into overdrive.

  1. I have given it a 9 because after a while it gets boring, however it will never get boring if you constantly have a friend round round who's motorstorm mad. In festival it is hard so you need to be very skilled to get to rank 8. I think if it would have had better online and more variety in cars and tracks so then i would have given it a 10. I think that in motorstorm apocalypse it will have better online and more variety so when i get that and review that i think I'll give it a 10. I think pacific rift is worth buying and i think it will be worth getting apocalypse in the future Expand

Worst game ever, the Wii has racing game with better graphics. The game stutters all over the place as the PS3 can't run game. I am on my 5th PS3, as PS3's break down all the time. All my friends had to ship back all of their PS3's because they broke. Expand
