One of the most surprisingly good games I’ve played in a long time. It manages to sell its bizarre premise and builds a solid, moving story out of it, and the plot-propelling investigations add immensely to the detective feel. Walking around as a ghost is clever and entertaining, and it even manages to inject variety into some of gaming’s most overused elements.
Murdered: Soul Suspect offers an exciting and unpredictably storyline that makes it difficult to stop playing. Being a ghostly detective comes with different abilities, but these powers are unfortunately fairly limited. The game is also a bit on the shorter end and never challenging. Nevertheless, thanks to a great script and likable characters, Murdered: Soul Suspect is a fun and different gaming experience that will keep you entertained from the beginning all the way to the shocking finale.
A best and top game i believe, Ronan's personality (including his sense of humour) and figure connects the game real life to the player. I like the story from the beginning how he met Joy and journey through to find the killer and teach us more about deaths and ghosts, i think we all know the ending is sad because i really thought Ronan was going to have a chance to be put to be alive again! and continue his journey even to the next game but he didn't and end up to join Julia, i was more hoping for a second game of Murdered soul suspects?, but found out they didnt make as i would be happy to buy it but they could at least put him in other games like super heroes, fighting games, ect because of his ghost powers
Murdered: Soul Suspect is probably something different from what you are used to. The narrative background and the main character are the main charms here, but don't expect any kind of challenge from the gameplay, which suffers from some hiccups in the investigation process. What you're left with is part wasted chance, part fascinating back-story. Surely, it could've been much more than this, and that's a shame.
Murdered: Soul Suspect is a really great idea for a game. It could have been really high quality all around, but maybe certain things were overlooked while focusing on the story rather than getting feedback about gameplay during development.
Murdered: Soul Suspect has some neat concepts, but it is not a success. A few elements of its supernatural murder mystery may hold your interest, but it ultimately feels hollow because it lacks any real challenge or entertainment in solving that mystery.
The premise of a ghostly investigator attempting to save himself and his town from demonic forces shouldn’t be this tedious. Unfortunately though making the fantastical seem mundane is one of the game’s few real achievements.
The game is good, but the locations are very poorly made. We still need a lot of things, but it deserves more points, and the plot is also not flawless.
A solid game that sets out to achieve a lot, but is only partially successful. Visually the game looks really good, and the story is enjoyable with twists and turns especially at the end. It's let down somewhat by what it doesn't do.
You have a whole host of supernatural abilities, but throughout the 8-10 hour play-through they are barely used, and for a game that revolves around you being a ghost with abilities, its disappointing to only use those skills a handful of times.
For completionists, the collectables while all interesting, are pretty frustrating to find, especially with no chapter select for cleanup, and the lack of map only making it more so. Its about a 6-7/10, that with more focus on the supernatural skills, and some tweaks such as chapter select could have been a solid 9.
Preety nice story driven game. The gameplay is mediocre, nothing special, but not bad also. The thing that i didn't like is that the whole game is mix of blue a grayish colours. There's no too much visual quality, but overall, a nice game...
