  1. The controls cramp the game's style and the opponent AI is about the only unrealistic thing about the game but then again the franchise mode is wonderfully deep.
  2. Tries to mix up the formula a bit too much, and the results aren't perfect.
  3. Get in your car, drive to a hockey game, support your local team, and go pay $20 for a deep-fried stadium lunch. Because whatever you do, don't spend any time on this flabby substitute.

    What separates 2K8 from 08 is its in-depth controls, its fabulous dekes and speed and flow which rivals real hockey. A must for true hockey fans and not arcade players. The only advantage 08 has is the cool detail of the marks left on the ice by each skate. Easily left behind by those wanting the best! Expand

    It's not bad, but I would hold off for EA Sports latest offerings. It just lacks the *punch* that EA always delivers in the same series.
