  • Summary: Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Conspiracy gives players the experience of becoming a 30 million dollar elite agent, fusing an experience that delves deep into Jason Bourne's character with game play and game presentation inspired by the aggressive filmmaking and frenetic action found in the films. Only by playing Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Conspiracy can players discover Bourne's true identity and experience the very moment he became a malfunctioning weapon, first hunting targets around the world as a deadly government assassin then marking himself as his agency’s most wanted. As a third-person espionage action game, players move from fistfights to firefights to experience sequences that blend Bourne's signature hand-to-hand combat with intense shooting and the ability to escape and evade deadly situations. 1. For a first attempt at an established franchise, The Bourne Conspiracy makes good on its promises and gives us the chance to become the perfect weapon.
  2. Overall, I'd say that the Bourne Conspiracy is a solid title with a few warts, some of which can be overlooked and ignored.
  3. 73
A trifle repetitive and brief, The Bourne Conspiracy is a diamond in the rough. Well worth a look but it’s not going to change your life.
  4. 73
The power, brutality and creativity that Jason Bourne uses in the films are excellently handled with the hand to hand system. Unfortunately, the shooting and driving mechanics leave much to be desired.

Pros: Fantastic action scenes make you believe you're bourne, nice sound and music, lots of different stages and missions
    Cons: the grap
hics are bad and don't show what the unreal engine can do, a lot of the stages are not from the movie and are a bit lame, huge installation and loading from HDD Expand

Great game that does some innovative stuff. Fill in the story a little more and tweak a few gameplay issues (more stealth-Bourne is sent in because he doesn't exist, not because he can blow everything up!) and this would have been a 9 or 9.5. Overall great job High Moon. I'm looking forward to the next one. Expand

This game is a good-looking and at times, very playable, mess. There is no real element of stealth in this game, which you would think it would have in spades, with Bourne supposedly being a bad ass assassin and all, and if you have a gun drawn, be prepared to move like an old man. The fighting system is novel at first, but then grows tedious. No idea why you can only use 3 buttons when fighting when a standard controller has several more than that. Games like this make me wish Hideo Kojima would continue Metal Gear Solid beyond number 4, because every Metal Gear knockoff I've encountered gets it all wrong. Rent Bourne Conspiracy, but do not buy it. This is coming from a fan of both the movies and the books and someone who really wanted to love this game. Expand

I loved the books and the movies, when I heard this game was coming out I got excited. When I first got it home there was an issue with the sound cutting in and out. So I put up with it for a while to see what the game was like. It seemed ok at first, but I quickly realised I wasn't in control of as much of the action as I would've liked. Got bored very quickly from this point, and the sound thing really started to bug me. Next day took it back, and exchanged it thinking the disk might have been damaged. When I got the new disk home, I re-installed, and started to play again. Exactly the same problem. Took it back again and got something else. Very ordinary experience. Expand
