Skydive: Proximity Flight turned out to be a great option to play and have fun with your friends. Maybe skydiving simulation wasn't a top choice for some of us, but we can assure you that you will have a great time sorting obstacles in the sky, dressed as a squirrel or Count Dracula while your friends laugh and wait for their turn.

Keeping its head in the clouds and its feet on the ground, Gaijin is able to capture the excitement of skydiving and delivers a solid game. Even when you'll complete everything the game has to offer, you'll come back on regular basis just to feel the pleasure of flight.

Like a NASCAR driver that enjoys turning left, if you can see yourself soaring through the air over and over without getting bored in an hour, Skydive is your huckleberry.

Skydive: Proximity Flight may be lacking all the bells and whistles of more popular arcade titles, and at times I did want a little more variety, or maybe even just a missile launcher or two. But that’s not what this game is about. What you have here is a fairly realistic and engaging simulator of an experience that most of us will never try due to an overriding sense of self-preservation. And maybe that’s enough.

Skydive: Proximity Flight is a nice but simple game. Gaijin Entertainment has provided stunning visuals and precise and flexible controls to this wingsuit simulator. Unfortunately, the lack of variety and game modes can make your attention drop very quickly.

If you grew up with the dream of wearing a wingsuit in the myth of the late Patrick de Gayardon, your wishes have finally been heard: Skydive: Proximity Flight is absolutely the game to buy.

Easy, accessible, and very fun. Although short on content, it offers a very addictive experience, that no matter if you like skydiving or not, deserves a try.

If Skydive’s flight ends in a bargain bin, you can give it a try. Otherwise there are so many great games to play. [13/2013, p.71]

Jumping into a wingsuit in Skydive: Proximity Flight is fun and different at first, but after playing an hour or so, it becomes apparent that there isn’t much else going on with the game.

The concept of B.A.S.E. Jumping is great, but not ready in its current state. The game lacks to give you a real adrenaline boost, while B.A.S.E. Jumping will. Skydive: Proximity Flight will also come to Oculus Rift which will obviously give you a more authentic experience.

Like its name vaguely suggests, Skydive: Proximity Flight doesn't quite hit its mark.

The gameplay is fine, ill give it that, but it just doesn't provide anything fun after you made your first few jumps. It's extremely hard to recommend this game at $20 when you can see all that the game has to offer in about 10 minutes.

Skydive: Proximity Flight is fun at first, but it plummets prompter than bungee jumper with the wrong length cord. With little other than a flimsy campaign mode to keep you occupied, the thrill of swooping through a never-ending sequence of coloured rings will soon outstay its welcome, and you’ll quickly be looking elsewhere to get your fix of extreme exhilaration.

For most savvy gamers there is a wealth of cheaper, better alternatives currently available via the PlayStation Network.
