  • Summary: Spare Parts tells the story of courageous robots Mar-T and Chip, who find themselves dumped out with the trash on a strange planet. Working together in co-op mode (either local or online), the mechanical duo must find a way to repair an abandoned space ship and escape the planet before evil Lord Krung can dispatch his henchmen to destroy them. Searching the hostile environments for ship parts and currency, Mar-T and Chip will also collect upgradable action parts – such as Rocket Boots - to unlock new abilities that will aid them as they rescue other stranded robots, and battle countless enemies including the relentless Krofax troopers, hostile spider monkeys and even a Super Huge Mega Laser!… Expand

    Spare Parts actually is a 2D jump'n'run with an additional third dimension. The bad camera work spoils the whole fun and the coop mode. Apart from that, the atmosphere, sound and gameplay are pretty well done and also proper for younger gamers.

    Spare Parts is a very simple game, aimed to the younger audience, which will like the design and charm of its characters. Taking into account the audience of the game, we miss some more help in certain puzzles of final bosses, as some players might get stuck.

    The idea of Spare Parts is pretty fun, but the way you have to play it doesn't really work. The camera is extremely annoying and the game is way too short. The coöp feature doesn't work and graphically the game is poor.

    - Fun, cheap game for a quick playthrough
    - Lack of camera control can be annoying
    - Controls sometimes act odd
    - Some "what to do" cues are missing
