This is the best game I've been waiting for! The biggest roster ever! The only thing I don't like is that they removed Sharapova, if she's in the WTA Roster of this game, the WTA Roster kicks ass! You could make the classic Sharapova vs Serena Williams. The controls are very responsive and great. The My Player Mode and the World Tour Gameplay is a big improvement for the game. A must buy game for Xbox 360 and PS3 but for Wii, just go get Grand Slam Tennis for Wii because you might get frustrated with the graphics of TS4 on Wii but on PS3 and 360, this game kicks ass! This game is worth buying for! Expand

Top Spin 4 is one of the best sports games I've ever played.

Unfortunately, presentation-wise, the game is way behind its contemporaries. Players don't usually have signature animations and there are no announcers. The Career Mode is also a little weak. Fortunately, the gameplay is amazing. It finds a perfect balance between accessibility and realism. The only three recommendations I
would make are: More powerful down-the-line counter shots, more realistic serving and more realistic volleying. Online play is generally fun, although if you go in with a created player you will find the "Topspin Invasion - Monster Defense" build and most defense-heavy builds are overpowering. Expand

Good Graphics, great gameplay, accessible, online loads of fun! The career mode is pretty good and rewarding and the gignature moves are very true to life except for the serves. If you like tennis this is a MUST have but even if you don't like tennis, check this one out.

The game all tennis fans have been waiting for. Top Spin 4 is the most authentic tennis game to grace the PS3 and is head and shoulders above its competition. Considering how average previous installments of the Top Spin series have been the improvements this game has made are incredible. Gameplay has never been more fun and realisitc. You find yourself getting absorbed in endless rallys back and forth. Like its predacessors the shot sytem is same as ever but this time feels a lot smoother especially when you master the different kind of shots. The powerful shots can leave you in awe or sheer frustration at going inches wide out of play. And its this and the precision shots that leave you engrossed and wanting more. Career mode is great fun and TS's best to date as you create your own player and take him a journey to become the number 1 tennis player. Visually its superb! It encapsulates each individual tremendously well meaning that the player likeness is amazing! From Nadal's reaction to winning a mammoth point to Murray shouting "C'mon" after taking a crucial point it really is fantastic. It has most licensed arena's apart from Wimbledon and from what I could tell they seemed pretty much on the mark with the crowds creating a good atmosphere given the fact the game still lacks commentary which sets it back rather than pushing it forward. Online it works really well and is very entertaining. Top Spin 4 really is the pinnacle of all tennis games and leaves its challengers massively adrift as Virtua Tennis is slowly but surely becoming stale but this game revitalizes Top Spin and with everything this game offers as an all round package it really is impressive and addictive making it unmissable for tennis fans and all gamers its certainly worth a look! I have been looking for a great tennis game for a long time, this is great despite it's few faults such as music in game menus and some AI bugs, but really good, all the fine details are there! Haven't tried it with the move but without the move it is still great, especially with friends. Well done 2K

Top Spin is the most realistic tennis sim out there, great controls make the game simple and challenging, and most importantly fun. Lots of gameplay modes, with a fantastic online mode, it rounds off a great package. 8 / 10

Excelente juego de tenis, el mejor a la fecha. Es la mejor alternativa y la mejor opcion, seas un fan o no del tenis. Carrer mode es extenso y entretenido, muchas dificultades, excelente curva de aprendisaje.

Best tennis game on current gen, but thats hardly the biggest compliment that can be bestowed on the game. The game is very solid, and plays a great game at times. The music is limited and pretty generic, even though its got a licensed soundtrack.
There aren't enough game modes, and only has 25 licensed tennis players.

It's a great game I can tell you that. It blows Top Spin 3 and Virtua Tennis 2009 out of the water. It's realistic but not boring. Cut scenes are awesome. The players look great. Season mode is actually quite fun.

The most realistic tennis sim ever made. Top spin 4 is miles ahead of it rivals. A shame its still an arcade but its a deep intense enthralling game which will keep you entertained.

The game play is really nice a lovely feel to it ,controls are much simpler than version 3 but at the same time still require good timing which is what tennis requires. It looks and moves beautifully , character animations are very smooth and lifelike. The core of the game is the career mode which is brilliant, nice and deep , giving you a chance to develop your character in a way that suits your playing style. It does have few faults , a few sound issues on court sometimes, there is no commentary , which i think it badly needs, and it can be WAY too easy on the normal difficulty, Winning sets 6-0 all the time when your playing players that are several ranks above you is boring..ramping it up to hard provides a much better challenge. The problem is it becomes too easy on normal and TOO hard on hard when you face the likes of Nadal you'll be lucky to win a game. The developers didnt get the difficulty right, so after a while you'll put this game down and prob wont play it until you get challenged by a family member. Rent at best. Expand

Top Spin3 was great - this is disappointing for me. On the basis that it is too similar to TS3, seems to have worse graphics than TS3, has terrible Move functionality and just generally does not have oomph for me (kinda like a Henman serve of old!).

Still better than Virtua Tennis which makes it the best tennis game on console - unfortunately!

This is a chance game. There is a draw every time you hit the ball. Whoever wins it's not the best player but the luckiest.

Graphics are great, sound is great, general features are great. But these mean nothing without a good gameplay, which this game lacks.

I miss the first two Virtua Tennis games, also Top Spin 1 & 2 are better games than this one.

Top Spin 4 is probably one of the best tennis games ever made mainly by its simulatorish atmosphere and absolutely marvellous career game. The controls work like a charm with pad, but unfortunately the Move support doesn't work as well as it should. Motion controls make the game extremely hard. AI doesn't cut any slack and therefore there's no error for controller based errors. [June 2011]
  2. Unfortunately the Move controls have turned out to be a real flop. Rather than the same sort of control over your racquet as, say, the ping pong in Sports Champions, Top Spin 4's controls feel significantly dumbed down. There really doesn't appear to be any connection between your player's arm and your actual arm – backhands you perform in your living room will be regularly interpreted as forehands by the game and there doesn't appear to be much difference between a spirited slog and a apathetic wiggle of the wrist. [May 2011 p.77]

Top Spin 4 offers a lot of emotion on the court. The controls are very good but you will need a lot of time to master timing in every situation.
