Whether you're a Warhammer 40K aficionado or not, this is just the right kind of uncomplicated stress relief to distract you from the BBC News 24 ticker.

Instead of simply clicking around a screen and hotkeying special moves like in Dawn of War, it's fun to actually control a Space Marine in a more personal, focused way.
  3. Solid, chunky fun with chainswords. [Oct 2011, p.115]

More work than fun, this dual-stick shooter soon becomes a repetitive and tedious chore. Only for die-hard completist 40K fanatics.

A perfect little mini game. Don't expect it to be a full game like space marine, but it will provide hours of entertainment. Best played coop to get the most fun out of this title. Short but highly replayable as well. Expand
  2. big fan of warhammer so this was a must buy for me to take up some hours between now and the 25th of august

great game, my first time playing
, a top down duel stick shooter and i'm really enjoying it, aside from a few mistakes with the mythology, the game is very good and solid. you can play as much as you would expect from a warhammer fill in the characters and their abilities.

aside from the above the only other gripe i have with kill team is that the camera will randomly focus on a character at a time meaning you can't go a head or, you will get killed or depending on how the Camera feels, you will leave your partner to die.

i've heard that this game doesn't have multiplayer online co - op and i can see why this is an issue, i just play 2 player or single player local with my friends. I can however understand why this would be a turning point for buying this game

all in all it is an 8 out of 10 because it looks like it should and does everything you would expect of it except having online multiplayer

  3. BIG fan of warhammer so this was for me too an instant purchase. That said the reason I managed to give this a 7 was because the world is so great, its a bit like a DoW mod (shame there is no PC version).

I think there are some limiting factors. Melee characters are pretty difficult to play with and you can't skip cutscenes even on a repeat attempt. No online play (that I could find) means this is potentially tough if you want to play as say the assault marine as he can cut through enemies but has trouble dispatching some of the larger mech units.

  4. Awful! Bad checkpoints, unskippable cutscenes and a real lack of any sort of skill involved anywhere. Game relies upon an overwhelming amount of orcs to throw at you.. if they dont kill you the extreme annoyance caused by having to redo and rewatch sections and cutscenes, again and again will surely do the job.
