Despite its expansive career-mode, Yoostar 2 is a title that you'll play fanatically for days on end. It's prominently a game used to breathe new life into parties. The game's concept is decent and offers enough options for someone to pretend they're a famous actor alone, or with a friend. The technical issues however, hold it back from reaching certain stardom.
  2. Movie karaoke isn't a new phenomenon but Yoostar 2 has brought it into the videogame space with some digital wizardry. Yoostar 2, in that case, is to movie karaoke what Rock Band is to drumming along to the radio on your steering wheel. There are some technical imperfections; we found the lights in our office played hell with the camera and resulted in elements of the kitchen behind us popping up during gameplay as on-screen artefacts. Dimming the lights mostly fixed this but it remained a little grainy... Yoostar 2 is far from perfect but it is very different. [May 2011 p.76]

Yoostar 2 is certainly a good game for its genre. Thanks also to the lack of real competitors, the title is definitely recommended for all cinema's lovers and actors missed. The game isn't without flaws, but with the right friends it'll make a fun evening.

Maybe with better tech this one could become a box office smash, but for right now, you should leave it on the cutting room floor.
