As Godzilla players will trample and lay waste to cities and environments with the goal of taking out each area’s Energy Generator while collecting as much G-Energy as possible. The G-Energy can then be used to power-up Godzilla, increasing both his physical size as well as his offensive and defensive skills.
The game will also allow players to utilize a dynamic Movie-Style Camera Angle System, delivering the most epic camera angles from which to destroy both a multitude of locations as well as classic enemies such as Mothra, King Ghidorah, and Mechagodzilla.

It’s absolutely rough around the edges, but there’s some fun to be had here.

The game is littered with fan service and was clearly made by people who love the property. In a way, that’s what makes it so frustrating.

All in all, there may not be enough substance for a gamer to really stick around and play the game more than a few times in curiosity.

Its poor graphics, repetitive missions and awful controls make this Godzilla a bad videogame.

While it does have a lot of fan service, it really doesn’t have much else besides clunky gameplay, horrible visuals, and repetitive gameplay.

Bumbling combat, laughable visuals, and terribly overpriced.

You would think a game in which you can pimp-slap a moth as a 40ft-tall garbage monster couldn’t possibly be that bad. You would, however, be wrong.

This game was developed to correlate movement, visual gameplay, roster, and mechanics to that of the movies so thoroughly that it makes you think of how unauthentic previous Godzilla "fighter" games (Save the Earth, Unleashed..) were compared to this. This is the Godzilla movies..in a game. His interactions with the environment, encounters with other monsters, and sluggish movement all give you that authentic feel of what Godzilla should be in game. The only downside would be graphics ( which aren't terrible for a PS3 port ), for the power PS4 holds the graphics could have definitely been better. Beside that, A+ in my book. Expand

The Game Definitely doesn't deserve a zero. I honestly believe a eight out of 10 would be right.
    Pros:
    You can upgrade your monsters
All the monsters must be used in different ways.
This takes good timing and reaction skills when fighting and combos can be executed
    The game makes you feel like it's a movie;
The monsters aren't balanced. In multiplayer you can team up to take down stronger monsters.
You can become a pro and kill a Biollante with a Mothra Larva.
God of destruction mode makes you feel like Godzilla.
Monsters and partial effects look beautiful.
    Cons:
there's no Split screen vs. mode.
Leveling up all the characters takes awhile

    Conclusion
If your a fan of Godzilla and have seen many of his movies this game will be perfect for you. It really does seem like Godzilla. Noobs button smash the controllers and lose. Multiplayer is very fun. Teaming up in 3 vs. 3 is cool. Just too bad you can't play with friends over.

Sure the game suffers fromAfter playing for about three hours, I can safely say that this game is only garbage if you look too hard at it. Sure the game suffers from some issues with difficulty at the beginning, but the game does not punish you for going the easy route. For all that it's worth it certainly simulates what it's like from the monster's point of view, just destroy whatever is in your way. Tank controls on it could be better, but this is probably the first time Natsume (developers of Harvest Moon and Abadox) has programmed a game of this magnitude. It is simplistic and kind of repetitive yet stays true to the Godzilla playstyle: slow and lumbering, yet unaware of gunfire. I'm only guessing this, but they may have just forgot to put in a life meter for Godzilla because he regenerates from near death damage so quickly. Overall I'd say that the game is fun for what it is and is quite aware of how gimmicky it is. 8/10 Expand

    Pros & Cons

Pros You feel like you're Godzilla The game has some of my favorite monsters in it like Biolante, Gigan, and Godzilla
    Pros & Cons

    Pros

    You feel like you're Godzilla
The game has some of my favorite monsters in it like Biolante, Gigan, and Godzilla himself
The game features different generations of Godzilla like Showa, Hesi and the new Legendary Godzilla
Unlike some previous Godzilla games, the developers gave characters like Anguirus moves unique to him to replace nuclear breath to stay true to the character.

    Cons

You can't make your own battles like in previous Godzilla games; the game does it for you
There is a useless diorama mode that honestly serves no purpose
To unlock certain characters, it is decided on luck if you face them so you can unlock them
The levels are SO damn repetitive
The combat is completely unbalanced and broken; it makes me wonder who greenlit this game to get released at Bandai Namco
The online servers are broken or are dead
The destruction is laughable; a game like Earth Defense Force (which is a good game), a game with a similar premise: giant monsters attacking Earth, puts this game to shame and that goes without mentioning the two have similar graphics

    I ultimately give it a generous 3.3

WTF is this disaster! this game is laughable at best and one of the worst games for the ps4 at worst. This piece of **** don't even worth $20,WTF is this disaster! this game is laughable at best and one of the worst games for the ps4 at worst. This piece of **** don't even worth $20, they charge you with the full price $60 and they even want you to pay if you want to play online!! That's insane, the game is not even decent, it's an unplayable disaster. In top of that there's no offline multiplayer is you are enough troll to make someone suffer from playing this garbage at your side. The Graphics are a disaster, and the game looks like a ps2 game at best,. The bugs and glitches are common in this game and the texture detail is blurry and bad designed. The gameplay is maybe the worst part here, Godzilla moves like a robot, add that a bad hitbox detection and you have a very boring and repetitive game. the buildings explode instead of just fall, i can't believe this disaster has been released for ps4. You can see how bad this game is when you see godzilla melt into the buildings, and he has like 2 or 3 movements that really suck. If you want to waste your money ($60+$20 for 3 months ps plus) so that's $80 bucks for play this **** awful game. This is probably one of the worst godzilla games ever made, the online quests does not make any sense, like destroying generators, if they are going to charge that much money, you expect something at least funny, but this game will dissapoint you in any way.
