All in all, Overwatch continues to feel unique regardless of how much time you spend with it, and despite the low number of available modes to participate in. I’m genuinely impressed by what Blizzard has managed to do here, and I think you will be too.

The best Hero shooter ever and the coolest competitive shooter of recent years is brought to us by a developer that has never even made a shooter before. Overwatch brings online fun for anybody, no matter how experienced or how old you are. This might be the game of the year.

It might not have the most exhaustive list of maps and modes, but it provides nearly endless opportunities for exhilarating, coordinated play. When you’re at the center of it, it feels like nothing else.

What’s incredible about Overwatch is how every single aspect of the game presented holds the same remarkably high level of detail and polish, and though the lack of progression systems and small selection of game modes may limit the experience for some in the long term, in the short to medium term, this game is nothing short of amazing.

A collection of firsts, but it carries itself with the confidence and proficiency of a veteran. It has plenty of room to grow and expand, but as our first step into this world, it's inviting, competitive, smartly designed, beautiful to look at, and fun to play. You can't ask for much more than that.

With its fun gameplay and an amazing charisma for standing out, Overwatch is the best candidate for the “best competitive FPS” title this year. Blizzard has done a gorgeous job working on this title, creating a shiny box full of a deep and interesting lore, an outstanding design and tons of fun.

Blizzard and their team seem to have struck gold with a perfect combination of class based, team-centric first person shooting with their latest entry in their storied career. They show that in an era of overpriced and overwrought online only first person shooters, Overwatch stands out above the fray, to deliver a meaningful, competitive experience sure to last for years to come.

Many people have put in more - because they've had fun playing it. Got hooked on the beta. If you haven't played the beta, that's probably the only reason you don't already have the full game. In all seriousness, it does something that no other shooter on console has done successfully - created a fun, truly team based, engaging, competitive game that has a high skill ceiling with a low barrier to entry and lovable characters. On the surface it is simple, but play it for a while and you'll understand why Overwatch exceeds the hype. Expand

NoThis game doesn't deserve more than 7 nor less, since the game it self is overpriced because the only game mode it has is multiplayer. No single player, no story mode, no survival, no other mode to sustain its price. The game is very fun to play online, the fact that you get endless match after match instead of waiting on queue for 5/10 min like in other games, makes this game very unique. Knowing that this game has only to offer online multiplayer mode makes unfair to pay 60$ while it should cost considerable less. A game similar to this one is Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare. In terms of online multiplayer the game is very similar to Overwatch, but with the difference of game modes PVZ deserves its current score. I would suggest to buy this game for 30$ or less. Expand

This game can be fun if you play with friends or in a party, but playing solo is usually a cancerous experience. Without people to communicateThis game can be fun if you play with friends or in a party, but playing solo is usually a cancerous experience. Without people to communicate with this game can be incredibly frustrating and difficult to have a consistently enjoyable experience. Like almost all other online games be prepared to be plagued with the usual re-occuring bugs and annoyances, like poor hit detection and inconsistent connection to servers. The core gameplay can definitely be enjoyable but for me those times where I truly and fun were few and far between. All too often my game would be plagued with leavers or toxic players who wouldn't communicate or attempt to create viable team compositions. I didn't mind these occurrences as much in quick play but many times I would run into players like this during competitive matches making which made those games incredibly annoying to play. All in all the core gameplay is good, the characters are relatively interesting, and the game at times can genuinely be fun but unless you have a consistent group of friends to play with I really wouldn't recommend investing $60 into this game.
