Literally no game has ever looked this good. It’s strange to even write that, but The Order: 1886 raises the bar so far above its contemporaries that it stands in a class by itself. Joined by a soundtrack that perfects the mood, The Order is a cinematic masterpiece.
Ready at Dawn brings out the best-looking title we've ever seen on a PS4 so far. The Order: 1886 delivers a great gameplay experience, wonderful art direction and a compelling storyline that unfortunately ends too abruptly, leaving us wanting for more.
The Order 1886 is a game I thoroughly enjoyed. Visually, it's absolutely stunning, with its detailed environments and breathtaking character models. The combat sequences are well-executed, offering a satisfying mix of gunplay and melee encounters that kept me engaged throughout. However, the one downside is its short length, leaving me wanting more from the rich universe it presents. It's a shame that there won't be a sequel to further explore this captivating world.
The Order: 1886 is a pretty good game, nothing else. Almost every part can be criticized: the story flows nicely but is extremely predictable, the fights are good, but only the ones with people in them (lycan fights are boring), graphics are gorgeous, but the world feels empty. Sir Galahad's adventure is yet another bit of proof that beauty isn't enough. You should see The Order in motion but do so only after some significant discounts.
A middling and short title that is almost more of a movie than it is a video game. It’s relatively enjoyable while it lasts, but you won’t keep fond memories of it with you for years to come, nor will you want to revisit it once the credits roll.
The Order: 1886 is a terrible game. Not because it’s broken or made without skill. Certainly not because it’s an average-length, story-driven shooter with minimal replay value. It’s just a bad game, forgettable in every conceivable way and safely ignored by all but the most ardent Trophy hunters.
Great game with a great story that's easy to follow(unlike what a lot of crybabies complaining have said) Also lots of good alternate history elements to the story and the game's weaponry.
The people who **** on it for having "too many cutscenes and limited gameplay" are the same people who praise Heavy Rain, Until Dawn, Telltale etc, where the whole "game" is a cutscene with point and click mechanics. They're absolutely moronic.
I've recently decided to try out some PS4 games that didn't necessarily receive the recognition they deserved upon release. We know that in cinema there are several films, now, that are considered cult classics and absolute gems that when they were released had been panned by critics and audiences alike. Halloween, The Thing, Blade Runner, etc. I didn't want to deprive myself of these possible experiences in gaming, so with the suped up processing power of the PS5, I decided now is a good time to try some of these older titles out and see if they really were as bad as their online ratings would indicate. So far I've found 5 absolute diamonds in the rough; Mad Max (like this game, was released in 2015), Days Gone (one of the best games I've ever played), Vampyr, Shadow of War (brilliant gameplay), and The Order: 1886. I LOVED this game. For starters, let's address the graphics, which are by far, the best that I've seen in a game. Ever! I can't believe the attention to detail and esthetics that these programmers literally squeezed out of the PS4. This game came out nine years ago and obliterates almost anything that's come out on "next gen" systems since. The biggest complaint about this title seems to be the shorter length of time it takes to complete it, but I actually found this very refreshing. One of my favorite NES games of all time was Double Dragon 2 and I could complete the entire thing in less than 30 minutes. Silent Hill 2 IS my favorite game of all time and I played it so many times that I could complete the entire thing in one afternoon sitting. My point is that sometimes we don't have the time or energy to commit our lives to an Elden Ring, or Witcher 3 (also came out in 2015), or Skyrim, or Harry Potter. This is a shooter grounded by a behind the shoulder camera much like in RE4 or Gears of War. However, the actor portrayals and the character models themselves are unmatched. And the frenetic frantic gameplay does make this feel more like a cinematic experience than a gaming experience. But that's alright. This is the exact same reason I love Until Dawn. And the best aspects of RE4 (it's just too long for a perfect score). At the end of the day, I would just have to say that I really, really enjoyed playing this game. Maybe that has something to do with me playing it on a PS5, I don't know. The real sad part is that we never got to see the conclusion to the story as I believe was originally intended. To me, that's its only fault, in not telling a complete story. And I would've liked to have seen some other characters of that time period introduced like Dr Jekyll, Rasputin, Albert Einstein (as maybe a teenager), Aleister Crowley, etc. The possibilities could've been endless but ended up a bit myopic. Nonetheless, now you can pick this game up easily for around 20 bucks and experience it on your PS5. Give it a shot!
Stunning graphics, a great story, but the stupiest controls I‘ve ever seen in a game like this. The gameplay is horrible with tons of quick time event. It‘s a mess! This game has the potential for a masterpiece, but someone at the developer must soon have been said: „let‘s destroy it.“
bad camera, delayed buttons, stuck with a visitor in a helm, still taking all the shots and lives. what the **** I quit the game, it's a waste of money
