It tried to do something different, and it did it in a distinctly Don’t Nod way, and the end result was a beautiful story about characters I will remember for a long time to come. Red and Antea’s tale is one of love and loss, and it finds the beauty in both.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a compelling tale of love and loss brought to life by phenomenal writing and performances with solid combat to boot, and it serves as a reminder that good storytelling remains a crucial element of video games.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden throws you an interesting dilemma. Will you go after love and renounce your oath or will you do what you swore? This issue recurs throughout the game, in which you get to work as a medieval ghostbuster. The dynamic between the two main characters is top notch, the gameplay very fun and the boss fights are unique. Too bad, however, that the performance in terms of frame rate is not stable and the variety of enemies is limited. That being said, Banishers is a fine game, definitely worth considering, but with some untapped potential.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden excels thanks to the memorable narrative and complex moral decisions. Alongside a brilliant world and some of the best voice acting around, it's easy to forgive the few shortcomings.
Ultimately, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is configured as a solid action RPG, whose merit, however, is limited by a general lack of refinement in the fundamental mechanics. The real highlight of the production, as often happens with Don't Nod's works, is certainly to be found in the writing, full of brilliant ideas and generally very inspired. If you are looking for a title that knows how to correctly combine a dark atmosphere setting with a passionate (and at times heartbreaking) love story, you are in the right place. The horrors of New Eden await you.
Banishers is not quite the unqualified win I wanted it to be, but it’s easy to appreciate on its merits. While the combat overstays its welcome and the exploration leaves a lot to be desired, there’s enough here to like for those who like strong narratives with great characters. For all its faults, the game is entirely confident in what it’s attempting to do. What’s more, with the foundation laid there’s plenty of potential for its faults to be addressed in future works. And it will be interesting to see what this team does next.
There’s not a single choice that you make here that feels difficult. If there are consequences, the laughable ease of combat makes them feel equivalent to a peashooter revenging itself upon a tank.
Πολύ δυνατός τίτλος..Πέρασα 60 ωρες πολύ καλα.. Είχα πολύ καιρό να κολλήσω έτσι με παιχνιδι κ ειδικότερα με τους βασικούς ηρωες..Παίζουν ρόλο οι επιλογές σου κ σε αρκετές περιπτώσεις παλεύεις μέσα σου κ αναρωτιέσαι αν έκανες καλα..Υπέροχο ταξιδι

A fine AA open world action RPG with a compelling story and decent combat, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden might be one of the best games you've never heard of. It deserves more than a ghost of a chance.

A lack of atmospheric sound seems odd at times, but the voice work is decent (notably Red and Antea's VO) and the ghostly sounds are suitably macabre.
VISUALS 8/10
Banishers' slice of 17th Century North America is gloomy and oppressive in places, verdant and bucolic in others. It looks very nice indeed.
PLAYABILITY 7/10
The combat isn't the tightest, but the various mechanics and systems are well thought out and executed. Crucially, you'll want to keep playing and pushing forward.
DELIVERY 8/10
A fairly expansive world dotted with campfire fast travel points and numerous secrets to uncover. The RPG elements are good, too, but the frame rate is prone to occasional chop.

Są oni pogromcami duchów ery kolonizacji Ameryki Północnej, gdzie działają, rozwiązując problemy osadników i własne.
Świat jest częściowo otwarty, ale bez swobody przemieszczania się. Poruszamy się z góry ustalonymi ścieżkami, ponadto występują blokady wymagające uzyskania umiejętności zdobywanych wraz z postępem gry.
Banishers zawiera najgorsze znajdźki kiedykolwiek. Wszystkie z nich to standardowe przedmioty, na które i tak trafimy w świecie gry, bez ekspolracji i poszukiwań. Równie kiepskie są dodatkowe aktywności, których są jakieś 3, 4 typy. Niezwykle irytujące bywają zagadki środowiskowe.
Walka nie jest szczególnie odkrywcza i ekscytującą. Mamy lekkie i ciężkie ataki, parowanie, uniki, etc. plus zdolności magiczne. Wyróżnia ją to, że możemy przełączać się między dwoma bohaterami, ale brakuje w niej płynności, miodności. Ciężko wypracować jakiekolwiek satysfakcjonujące kombinacje ciosów i ruchów. Liczba rodzajów wrogów jest mocno ograniczona, a bossowie są nijacy.
Fabuła główna została potraktowana nieco po macoszemu. Zamiast niej twórcy przygotowali wiele małych, odrębnych historii wraz z ich unikalnymi bohaterami, które poznajemy w trakcie zadań pobocznych. Jest ich ponad 20 i są one rozbudowane i wieloetapowe, ale, im więcej się ich pozna, tym bardziej stają się one nużące.
Do dokonania mamy wiele niełatwych wyborów moralnych, jak to w grach tego dewelopera. Dziwne jest to, że już na wczesnych etapach wymaga się od nas, abyśmy się zadeklarowali co do ostatecznego losu głównej bohaterki, nie mając właściwie pojęcia, co nas czeka, jakie dylematy napotkamy.
Aktorsko i dźwiękowo jest super, bardzo dobrze wyglądają animacje twarzy postaci. Cała para chyba w to poszła, bo reszta grafiki jest średnia, a wręcz last genowa. Krajobrazy są nudnawe i jednostajne. To generyczne dziewicze tereny wschodniej Ameryki, czyli trochę lasów, skał, plaż, jaskiń i niewielkich drewnianych mieścin.
Wydajność jest kiepska, ilość klatek na sekundę zalicza poteżne spadki, a nawet sama mapa świata otwiera się w ok. 5 sekund.
Podsumowując - to byłaby świetna gra na 20 godzin, ale, aby ukończyć rozsadną ilość jej zawartości, potrzeba ich ponad 60. Niestety, braki i niedostatki rozgrywki, fabuły i techniczne nie usprawiedliwiają tak długiej przygody.
Niemniej, na single-playerowym bezrybiu i crap ryba.
