  • Summary: A-Men is played out at A-Cor, the world's biggest producer of A-Droids, robot soldiers, where A-Men's heroes work. The game kicks-off with a major explosion at the factory accidentally releasing hundreds of A-droid soldiers. And so the mind games begin...with your mission to round up all the wayward enemies. If you are looking for a challenging game which is more mature than most of the other launch titles you should definitely take a look on this indie game jewel.

You'll spend most of your A-men play time chewing your fist in repressed frustration due to its imprecise floaty physics and harsh save point system. [May 2012, p.103]

At its core A-Men is a clever game. The idea behind controlling multiple characters and using so many different skill sets is a good one. In my opinion, a lot of the enjoyment the game provides is often negated by the trial and error nature of the gameplay.

It's packed with content, fairly cheap and, hey, it's Lemmings! With Guns! [Issue#217, p.83]

  1. For me, A-Men is probably one of the most criminally underrated games in the Vita's entire war-chest. Not many Vita owners know about it, and it certainly never attracted much media attention. And that's a real shame, because this game has real depth. Tactics, platforming and puzzles are all staple elements of A-Men's challenging, yet rewarding gameplay. If you like a challenge, aren't all about headshots and explosions (although they are here too!) and have at least a modicum of patience, I'd wholeheartedly recommend giving A-Men a shot (sorry, had to). If that isn't you however, you may be better off giving this one a miss. Collapse
