A fun and quirky RPG that infuses the leveling system with some BDSM flair. It is great for an hour here or there when wanting to relax, and the avant-garde approach to leveling has to be praised. Those who have problems with sexuality will have issues with the game.
The polemic side of the game is going to capture the headlines, there's a good RPG behind it. The motivation system is indeed original, but is also abused and this eventually prevents it from feeling as a relevant addition.
The game who make me go in RPG, it's a **** awesome game you will cry at the end be sure of this ! With a extended story you can play this more than 100 hours easy. Perfect for enter in the RPG world !
this game is pretty good, i got invested in the story and the characters were like-able. the battle system while sometimes luck based is also nice. this is not a game you should play in public because of the not so safe for work motivation minigame. even when censored you don't want to be seen in public with it.
the ending(s) were satisfactory and felt like an actual ending instead of a cliffhanger. while not for everyone this game is all and all pretty good.
In any case, if you don’t mind the sexual nature of the motivation mini-games and are looking for a JRPG that makes for a fun play in short burst and is a little different, then taking a peek at Criminal Girls: Invite Only might offer you a fairly enjoyable, if flawed, time.
While the combat is entertaining and the dungeon crawling is okay, the story and the whole idea of having to “motivate” these girls are simply too unnecessary, too uncomfortable, and too offensive for this game to be worth your time.
This is not to say that Criminal Girls: Invite Only is inherently broken; it certainly functions and offers over twenty hours of gameplay, but there’s better JRPGs available.
Criminal Girls: Invitation Only is a title with a very, very, very specific audience. RPG fans will find the combat tedious and the plot generic, and those looking for a dose of scantily clad anime girls will probably be turned off by the whipping and electrocution.
For the price of Criminal Girls, you could buy a whole bunch of sex toys, one of those big anime pillows with a naked girl on it, or some really nice handcuffs and a whip. Regardless of who you use them on, you’ll have more fun with them than you will with this game.
I enjoy this game so much. Sometimes it feels as if it's working against you because a character won't offer up the right spells, but I kinda like having stuff out of my hands for once. It allows me to be more adaptive and feel like I'm in a tight spot. That's possible in other games, but Criminal Girls offers a fine take on battle and dungeon crawling.
This game is... Very unique, to say the least. I felt really weird about purchasing this game, since I am usually turned off by pervy games (Senran Kagura i'm pointing at you!) However, the gameplay looked retro and fun; plus I really wanted to play my Vita more, so I caved. What I did not expect is to enjoy both the battle system and pervy moments; I often laughed at the ridiculous interactive scenes with the girls. The story isn’t anything special, but I never intended to play the game for that anyways (I mean come on, the game is called Criminal Girls Invite Only). In the end, I am really enjoying this game. BUT I do have one warning, do not play this game in public with the volume turned up to 100 percent! I can only imagine the looks you would get…
Take what you hear about this game with a grain of salt. From a perspective of an honest JRPG maniac this game was all around solid. I'm sure the big companies love thrashing this game for its perverse nonsense but that's simply a matter of culture differences. To summarize the experience i had, the game throws a unique twist on JRPG combat and the story was surprisingly crafted quite nicely. The art for the mini game was extremely well made. However, since you have to do the mini game several times it can get a tad stale.
The long story short is the game is ok. Don't dive into it expecting anything huge and you'll get a several hours of a solid jrpg. Most of the games challenge can be overcome with grinding and items, dungeons feel a bit liner but not anywhere near FF13 level.
On a separate note, the censorship is nothing and almost random at times. Most of the time theyre just hiding panties (or crotch lines) but nothing that would be classed as porn, and in turn the pink clouds make it feel like they're actually hiding something. Another common thing i see floating around is animal tails, but those are actually meant to be there so its just people being jerks. NISA did what they needed so we could play the actual game.
I wanted to like this game, heard it was censored, but thought how bad could it be cut up?
apparently a LOT. pink fog, added animal tails cover almost anything you could possibly see.
I am a perv, openly perverted, and they destroyed this game.
I am completely lost at why a company that knows a game is aimed at a certain gamer type, would take out everything those gamers were after.....
they ruined what would have been a pervs delight, what made it unique.
do yourself a favor and import it.
