  • Summary: If you’re not familiar with the DJMAX TECHNIKA arcade franchise, at its core it plays like most other arcade music games. It has a dedicated control interface used to activate “notes” in as accurate timing with the music as possible. In TECHNIKA’s case the game uses two sets of four horizontal lanes with a timing line that scrolls clockwise on the screen. [Pentavision] Expand

Music games kind of wore out their welcome in 2009, but DJ Max Technika Tune can certainly help make them relevant again with unique gameplay and some quality musical tracks.

South Korean developer Pentavision brings their latest DJMax title to North American, giving rhythm game fans-and Vita owners in general-a superb product that excels in style, substance, and sound.

DJMax Technika Tune is in some ways mindbendingly new, but simultaneously comfortingly nostalgic. The look and feel of Pentavision's Vita music game recall my high school Dance Dance Revolution obsession pleasantly.

DJMAX Technika Tune offers a smooth, enjoyably frustrating experience rooted in precisely-tuned gameplay fundamentals.

If you are familiar in the djmax franchise,This game is for you. Djmax technika tune is the portable version of the Arcade hit ''Technika''series- This game is an example of a perfect port,an eye candy for the vita and the video quality is great, combined with the psvita' stunning OLED screen and very sensitive touch screen this game is perfect : 67 songs and it's musicvideo with a slight expensive pricetag- It's worth it because of the artist' efforts and copyrights in the game. Overall this game is a must buy if you are a music fan, wants to practice Technika'' and wants to show of your vita. :) Expand

Very good usage of the touch capabilities (everything is controlled via touch!)
Nice selection of songs and music videos!
    and challenging
    Internet ranking!

Implementation of back touch still leave a lot to be desired. Causing the game to be too complicated (can be circumvent by disabling back touch)
The game is still very hard and frustrating for some. Not for the faint hearted
Find a nice flat place to play on your Vita

Such a wonderful game Addictive, especially to those who already played the dj max series.
Dj Max Technika Tune offers a variety of songs 4
games modes and changing of equipment which has always helped us. The touch system is superb. The visual content provides a nice touch (as always) but sometimes it can distract you. The rear touch screen is used beautifully synced as the front screen and provides a challenge for those who dare. Posting scores on facebook has been made easy so all your friends can see. Though at times i always seem to miss the fever button.
For around 60 dollars on ebay and 50 dollars on the upcoming release in North America many former and new djmax players will come to buy this.

Now this is what really showcases the functions of the touchscreen as well as the rear touch screen! A good combination of the music rhythm into the game. Although the screen might not be really that suitable to play (technika players will understand this fact), just take time to get used to it, and you will get the hang of it in no time. I actually expected more music to be in here (hopefully they have a 2nd series), but nonetheless it's still satisfying enough to showcase the power of the vita. Thus for music rhythm gamers, this is a must buy!! Expand
