  • Summary: From the makers of LEGO The Lord of the Rings, comes LEGO The Hobbit, inspired by the first two films in The Hobbit Trilogy: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug as well as the collection of LEGO The Hobbit constructions sets. The interactive game of LEGO The Hobbit allows gamers to play along with their favorite scenes from the films, and follows the Hobbit Bilbo Baggins as he is recruited by the Wizard Gandalf to aid Thorin Oakenshield and his Company of Dwarves. Bilbo leaves the comforts of the Shire on a journey through Middle-earth to help the Dwarves reclaim their lost Kingdom of Erebor within the Lonely Mountain. Along the way, he is introduced to ravenous Trolls, dangerous Orcs and, of course, Gollum and his precious Ring. Players utilize and combine the Dwarves’ unique abilities to solve a diverse array of Quests. Expand

Unlikely to entertain anyone older than 14, this pint-sized port is a real disappointment.

The game is a straight up port from DS. It looks bad and runs bad. There is not free roam.

I don't understand why developers complain that
the Vita isn't selling well enough to warrant making decent ports if they are the reason people aren't buying it!

Isn't this the same engine as the PSP version as well?

It's not the worst port, but until WB/ Lego put in effort into the Vita version I will keep re-posting this review for all Lego games on Vita. Because it's still applicable.

Its like they done even try with the vita versions of Lego games any more. Its a blatant cheap port from DS, Just like any other Lego game. Absolutely shameful. Expand

There is no excuse for the Lego games for the Vita to be the same as DS ones. The Vita is capable of having PS3 graphics but Tt games won't put a drop of effort. It is clear that it has become a cash cow and we must stop buying this series anymore. Expand

I finally made an account here, just to try to inform other people of how Terrible and rushed the handheld version of this game is. The sound, the controls, the horrifically unresponsive touchscreen menus, everything about this version of Lego Hobbit is absolutely worthless trash. I feel cheated. Avoid this at All costs, this is not a port of the console version but rather just a rushed and awful license cash in. The developers and publishers of this game should be ashamed of themselves.
