They're fun, they play well, and they still feel like they're worth playing a decade after the fact. Throw in the whole on-the-go aspect you get with the Vita, and it makes it easy to recommend picking this up.

Quite frankly, each game in the Ratchet & Clank trilogy is as charming and playable now as it was when first released.

The remarkable gameplay of Ratchet and Clank's first three adventures holds up in this great HD package, but don't expect a pitch-perfect port.

Ratchet & Clank Trilogy brings back in HD three of the best adventure games that have ever been released in PlayStation 2.

PlayStation Vita is a perfect console to remember the great adventures of Ratchet and Clank. Insomniac created some wonderful characters in very different planets.

Ratchet & Clank Trilogy is a largely successful port of the much-loved action platformer. Looking on them in 2014, though, the flaws are more apparent, and the a couple of design decisions don't translate to the Vita all that well.

A terrible edition: a lot of aliasing, input lag and a faulty control scheme.

Admittedly it can pose a challenge for those who are playing it for the first time because of screen and controls, but with so many guides on the internet you'll have no problem just enjoying your journey through the three games. I read that some people had glitchy issues with the game, but i haven't experienced any of that yet. Enjoy it, I'd even encourage first timers. Expand

I've played all 3 and the framerate is identical to the ps3 and ps2 versions. The graphics are better than ps2 or around the same level, the first game already had input lag before the vita version, but now the second has some slight input lag, the third controls absolutely flawlessly. Half of the cutscenes are low-res and not fullscreen, which sucks, but the games are still just as fun as before, and you can plug in earphones to hear the awesome music better now. So yeah, three great games, the rare glitch here and there, no framerate issues, great graphics and at least 100 hours of gameplay; worth the purchase. Expand

If you want the best quality possible you should play it on PS3, but i think you should also consider this game for vita. Sure the graphics aren't clean as in PS3 version but the action is still furious and the framerate is solid. Compared to jak collection, this one is much better done although not perfect.
So if you want to have some fun on the go, give this one a try, i think you will not regret it. It still got that ratchet and clank charm from the old days.

The levels have very little variety in terms of platforming, and the developers tried to mask that with annoying mini-games in the 2nd and 3rd entries. The lack of check-points can also cause some rage-inducing moments, particularly in UYA. Port-wise, the games are playable and you should go through them fine. I've encountered sound cut-offs but it was very rare. The cut-scenes are unedited but that is to be expected when you slap together a collection for some quick profit.

It's a shame because I really enjoyed the PS3 series, but the original 3 are pretty rough around the edges.

The games themselves are a 9/10. The nostalgia from these games is just too powerful for me to hate the games. So why such a low score? The collection was half-assed. The PS3 version, made in 2012, was actually alright. It had the same games, but with clearer graphics. The trophies were a little poorly created though. The games were also bugged. 2 years on, and they port it to the PS Vita. The graphics aren't native, making the game pixelated and blurry at times. Unlike the PS3, which runs the games at 60 FPS, the PS Vita handles the game at a rate of 30 FPS. this is reasonable comfortable, except the game does dip to 20-15 in some places.

The glitches ruin the show for me. The game only takes about 5 minutes to do something abnormal. You can hardly do anything before the music stops playing or the graphics start bugging out. The PS2 versions of the games had no glitches at all, and finding so many glitches in a port of something that was already glitched from 2 years ago, really shows that the company just doesn't care. They also ported the Jak and Daxter games, another classic series, onto the PS Vita. The game had an average framerate of 20 FPS (if lucky). They just ignored all the issues. The controls use the back touchpad since the R1 and R2 buttons are absent on the console, and this really can ruin some sections.

So, overall, the graphics look good (when they show up), the sound is okay (when it even plays) and the gameplay is solid (if you get used to them). This is definitely the worst way to play the R&C games. You're still better off playing the PS2 versions of the games. The trophies are awfully chosen too. If you absolutely have to play the PS Vita version of the collection/trilogy, then it's worth it. I will say that playing the R&C trilogy for the first time on the Vita can ruin your chance to enjoy the games though. Go play it somewhere else. A perfect trilogy was ruined by a company that ignored their buggy port. To be honest, I don't know who chose to trust them again after they ruined another loved trilogy.

One last thing. The PS3 trilogy of R&C is cheaper, and comes free if you buy the trilogy on PS Vita. If you own a PS3, just play that instead. The PS3 version is actually not bad.
