Compares to the competition in much the same way "Tony Hawk" did at its debut - it offers a well-rounded experience based on a variety of challenges, rather than what amounts to just another racing game.
  2. The gameplay is fast and intuitive, and while the graphics aren't eye-popping, Radical has managed to capture what is most important in snowboarding games: the spirit of freedom.
  3. I didn't feel that there was anything terribly new or revolutionary about the game, but it was undeniably fun to play.
  4. I hear "SSX" is great, and if you're not getting a PS2, I'd go with the immortal "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2." Skateboarding, snowboarding, same diff.
  5. A definite purchase for snowboarders and extreme sportsters who have finished playing "Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2" and "Dave Mirra BMX Freestyle Racing."
  6. Delve a little deeper, and you'll find annoying graphical glitches, shifty control, and a frustrating interface that detracts enough from the overall game to make it a mediocre title at best.
  7. Unfortunately, there's some yellow snow on this mountain.
  8. The Build-a-Mountain mode is a fabulous addition.
