The CPU opponent is very hard, and all they do is submissions.

William F., this is not a true statement. There are numerous Fighters on the game, that when faced by a stand up fighter will in turn try to fight standing as well with fewer grapple attempts. Granted you still have to dodge the occasional takedown attempt, but after the first few tackles, they give up trying as much and try to brawl and knock you out.

Submissions is all the computer does leaving you with a average 5 sec. match. The 2 player mode against friends makes this game better but against cpu it sucks.

  1. The problem is that unless you have the patience to put up with the AI's single-minded fighting style, for the most part you will find joy only in the two-player battles.

The one-player match is a hassle. If you buy this game, buy it for the multiplayer matches.
  3. We wailed on the controller and got a few laughs out of the game but in the end it just doesn't match the excellence of its Dreamcast brother.
