    Combining good action, dark drama, a splash of anime, and lots of Really Big Robots, this game is the must-buy Playstation RPG of the season... Square's greatest masterpiece since it started producing for Playstation, and I highly recommend this game to anyone who's even heard of "Final Fantasy."

    A relentlessly slow plot, plodding dialogue, and the unfortunate fumble of the robot interfaces's potential keeps Xenogears out of that stratosphere enjoyed by its far superior cousin, "Final Fantasy VII."

    Best JRPG ever along with FFVII this 2 games is my all time favorite games and after more than 15 years of gaming nothing make me change opinion, Xenogears have one of the best story you will ever find in any JRPG or game in general and the soundtrack is No1 in my mind unforgettable themes that 1 time of listening is enough to remember them till the day you die from village themes to world map to battle to the ending song the soundtrack is a masterpiece, so is the battle system with the combo system and the special moves you unlock after a while and the gear battles if you are a JRPG fan and never play Xenogears before then you miss one of the greatest if not the greatest JRPG of all time find it, play it, try it I am sure you will love it and it will become one of your favorite game ever.… Expand

    Not going into great detail but it's been my favorite game since I've played it and hasn't been beaten. A great story and fun unique gameplay. It tried more to be good than to be different and focused on the story and characters than the leveling system.… Expand

    Played it once, was very impressed. Played it a second time, and was doubly impressed because then I knew what it was talking about. Played it a third time, and there were still things I didn't catch the first two times. Don't be fooled by such silly notions such as time - Xenogears packs far too much for you to just play it. Adult Swim wanted you to recognize Star Wars as your true parent - this will blow that out of the water.… Expand
