    A truly astonishing port. [Issue#202, p.96]

So, if you have picked up Angry Birds on your mobile device, the PS3/PSP version does not offer anything new. Regardless of what system you play Angry Birds on, it is proof that simple, puzzle games can have AAA gameplay.
  3. An infuriating test of trajectory skills and patience that will have you swearing, strooping and (perhaps most unbelievably of all) bloody well enjoying it. [Spring 2011, p.113]

In PS3, this is not going to be be the hit it has achieved to become in movile phones, but it retains its fun and entertainment, and offers lots of hours of fun for an affordable price.

If you haven't experienced Angry Birds, want to and don't have an iPhone/iPod, then you won't be disappointed with this edition of the game.

There's no denying that Angry Birds is fun, but it could use polish -- such as sharper visuals, a better price and smoother action. It's one of those games I could play for a few hours on a plane or obsess over on my couch.

Controls are everything. This Iphone classic has been totally destroyed in its conversion to Playstation 3, where the controls don't work.

I love Angry Birds. It's a very great game and just tons of fun to play as Birds that beat up Pigs. I have played all of them expect for the first Angry Birds Star Wars game. Expand

This game can be split into 3 reviews; the Vita, PS3 and PSP. All of them differ, Which is odd baring in mind you only pay once for all three. The PSP game is by far the best. Its Angry Birds as you remember it. It works well and is exactly what you want when you buy the game. The PS3 copy has the best graphics. The birds look like a living cartoon and allows for every detail on your HD TV. But feels awkward to control. The Vita copy is disgraceful. Its pixelated. Which is stupid of me to say, but, its so very, very pixelated. Worst looking game on Vita? Go on then. Overall all three games differ. Which is a shame, so i'll take a average score from all three. Which would be 4.6666667. But i just had to round up so... five. Expand

Angry Birds was great on the iPhone and my addiction to it was pretty extreme. I purchased it to play on the PS3 hoping for a glorious HD version to be enjoyed on a large screen. Boy was I disappointed. While it is still a fun game, the graphics are pixelated and the default view is zoomed in- zooming out involves pressing L1 and R1 simultaneously, which you have to keep pressed to maintain that view. This is a mediocre port offering sub-par graphics, no settings menu and really nothing new as compared to the mobile version. I know this is supposed to be a "Mini" game but 'cmon guys, when I play this on the PS3 it basically feels like I'm holding a magnifying glass over my iPhone. Expand

While the game is fun at the core, a few problems always take the immersion from the stunning atmosphere of Angry Birds. The people you launch from the slingshot, don't look like people at all! They look like some sort of bird things, that was a poor design choice, and the pigs in the base don't look like birds at all. Do the developers even know what game they are making?! Moving on, while I feel the difficulty curve is smooth, the guns and swords don't feel as powerful or as satisfying as they should, you feel like you are buttering toast when you strike down an opponent. The textures in the "bird's" base are poor, they look like they were made for the iphone or something.

    Overall, Angry Birds get 10/10.

pointless. Same old pull to get lucky and pay to win. And they make more and more money with reskins of the game. Stupid as It's crazy. You just pull and hope you win and pay to beat the level. I can do the samething getting drunk, putting a blindfold on then trying to take a piss. Expand

If you want to buy this game I would DEFINITELY recommend crush the castle, it is more fun, less frustrating and has more things to do in it. I seriously think that angry birds is not even worth the download, it's too over rated and does not deserve a movie, that's right A FREAKING MOVIE! Don't believe me? Google it! Expand

i cant stand how heavily OVER RATED this franchise is, its just throwing birds at pigs, REALLY REPETITIVE and BORING! i can't see how people are liking this, and i don't post this review only to hate on angry birds, no, this game, is EXACTLY the same as ALL of the other titles in this franchise, it was fun, for like the first couple minutes, but after that it's just up and boring. period.
