This is a good videogame adaptation and none of the flaws prevent it from being immersive and enjoyable to play. You won’t find another game quite like this. American Football and the fantasy world of Elves and Orcs make undeniably strange bedfellows and their unholy offspring may be ugly but it is entertaining.
A fun game that does not require reflexes but brains. Role playing elements and strategy works great together. There are many races you can pick. You have to plan your game for a W. I am not even into american football but this game is fun if you like slow games/board games/turn based games.
I wish it was possible to save and quit during the matches for solo play (a game takes 40-45 minutes). Other than that I have no complains. Great game. 10/10.
Love this Game. I can't stand most sports games, and this just lets me have fun. The turn base mode is great way to get comfortable if you prefer strategy. Love the variety of races. Sure it doesn't have ALL the races from the Board game, but none the less, it provides great variety.
Overall, I like this game very much. Sometimes it seems a bit unfair, but what should I say: it is Blood Bowl and you’ll only win, if you play hard and be more unfair than your enemy!
If you're a fan of the board game, you'll like this adaptation - but if you're not, it's not going to sit well with any logical imagining that you've ever had for a Blood Bowl game. [Nov 2009, p.68]
Blood Bowl is a respectable attempt at bringing the ideals of a board game to a videogame. It has decent elements of personality, but the abundance of text and rule memorization can be a downer when all you want to do is get into a game.
A perfect board game does not mean a perfect video game. Controls and game system are pretty bad, no-brain AI makes things even worse. Only hope to improve playability are future updates and patches. [Aug 2009]
It is and great game. Every race is different and fun to play...except for **** has great multiplayer, and awsome blitzers and Big Guys. Very good game. Higly Reccomend it
Izgleda mi fun ali vidi se da mora dugoooooooooo da se igra da bi postao dobar u njoj a to mi je malo smor jer je i grafika losija itd tako da dajem 7 jer je to korektno i to je sve :)
As someone who loved playing the Blood Bowl board-game with my brother as kids, I very much wanted this game to be good. It certainly has the potential to be, but as mentioned before, the single player is just overshadowed completely by the ludicrous dice-roll cheating in the AI's favour. Contrary to the die-hard fans who insist that single-player modes are for dinosaurs, and impatience is the only conclusion for getting pissed off at a game, I play multiplayer games regularly and have the patience of a saint. However, none of my friends play this, and I found myself cursing the screen like a trooper at how badly the game cheats with no shame or attempt to hide it. Every time you're about to score or win, you'll get the worst roll possible. Again and again. The AI, however, enjoys the pleasures of what actually appears to be reasonably random rolls. It grows old very fast. This game could have been so much more if someone hadn't 'dropped the ball' on.. dropping the ball. I Hate to give a bad rating on a game, but feel the higher number of positive reviews reflects people who only play multiplayer, or those who love Blood Bowl enough to put up with inferior single-player gameplay. I'm sure multiplayer is more fun, but if you want single-player, stay away. I last played this about a year back, but don't think it's been patched since, rather they've released Blood Bowl: Legendary Edition instead. Probably better to take a look at that.
I tried to play this game, after spending an hour in a horrific, uninformative tutorial and crashing multiple times while trying to choose my team and trying to actually play this game I've decided that it wasn't worth the whole 2$ I spent on it on steam. Awful.
