BogdanSNov 22, 200810Essentially the same as the first LocoRoco, but that's not a bad thing. Minor gameplay additions in terms of enemies, friends and platforming. Music mini-games added, which is a good thing. More alive and more populated than the prequel. All and all, a worthy upgrade and an excellent starting point for those who never tried the first one. PS: A demo is already out on the PS Europe store.

Feb 17, 20128An imaginative and original game that utilizes unique gameplay and fun visuals. LocoRoco 2 is light and breezy and has that classic easy to learn/hard to master learning curve. The music is lively and the colors jump out at you. This creates a great energy running throughout the game. The game is a joy to play even if its lightness means that it won't be particularly engaging or involving.

80Ostensibly the same again, then, LocoRoco 2 nevertheless pulls its charm tight and burrows deeper into the mechanics, level layouts and set-pieces, presenting more elaborate rewards in visuals and gameplay, and doing a better job of sharing them with you so that you don't always feel as though you're searching for cuddly needles in a Teletubbies haystack. It comes across as a refined, more elaborately constructed sequel that remembers why it was good in the first place.

80Even with some new touches and a increased difficulty, there are little changes in this sequel, which is probably the big problem here. The game keeps being as charming and enjoyable as the first one, so itīs perfect for those who love LocoRoco, but it lacks the sense of surprise and discovering of the first one.

82LocoRoco 2 is as amusing as the original, but the differences between the two are marginal at best. Luckily, the swell controls and endearing visuals will enchant the audience of the first all over again.
