Damn you frame rate issues...Were it not for the dip in speed during gameplay, this could've been an incredible portable title.
  2. Not a lot has changed since last year, but the new road-to-the-show mode is a fantastic addition and MLB 07: The Show is a great game.

There aren't a slew of new ideas here, but the additions that were made -- a deeper pitching game, a funkier career mode -- all work. The result is another top-flight baseball disc that'll stay in sports fans' portables well into summer.

In the end, this is by far the cream of the baseball handheld crop this season. The animations are smooth, the players look great, and the innovation -- particularly online -- is to be applauded.
  5. I haven’t truly enjoyed a baseball game this much since the MVP 2005. Sony now has the baseball game to beat, not EA.
  6. MLB 07 adds even more to the series’ traditionally strong network support. In addition to Infrastructure and Ad Hoc games and leagues, you can also pick up roster updates and MLB news. Perhaps the coolest thing here though is the real-time gamecast support that lets you follow games in progress. Talk about a baseball fan’s dream feature.
  7. Sony ports their premier MLB franchise to the handheld, and far from being a dumbed down version, this could be the definitive baseball experience rivaling its console counterpart.
  8. The PSP version of MLB 07: The Show packs quite a lot of game into a handheld port. [May 2007, p.83]
  9. If you are a baseball fan and own a PSP you need to give your head a shake if you haven’t picked this one up yet.
  10. In 2007 the focus has been placed on the mound with improved artificial intelligence and new features and controls.
  11. For someone who is not a die-hard baseball fan, I really enjoyed this game. I can only imagine that if I was crazy for baseball this UMD would only leave my PSP in a year's time when MLB'08 was released.
  12. The lack of a true Franchise mode is still noticeable, but aside from the disappointing frame-rate issue and exceedingly long loading times, there's a lot to like here.

I think mlb 07 the show was huge! but I give it an 8 because they could have done more so it's fun but not exactly great! I think they I think mlb 07 the show was huge! but I give it an 8 because they could have done more so it's fun but not exactly great! I think they should show all the fans doing the wave or something or make the games look bigger, just like if you are at the game. also, when you trade a player, for example, let's say in the game you trade david wright to the marlins, they should computerize and show the florida marlins cap on david wright when they show david wright's picture. they should also upgrade the graphics of the game a little more for ps3. Road to the show mode gives you the feel of a real big leaguer.
