  1. It also represents one of the first games I've played in a long time that's truly something for both kid and adult, and I'll be giving a copy to my nephew this Christmas in the hopes that it'll help bridge the gap between the business side of his father's day-to-day operations and the passion that my nephew has for games.
  2. Thrillville is a worthwhile game if taken at face value, and it's the closest you could get to having an actual amusement park held in your PSP.
  3. The amount of options in the simulation piece is amazing for a portable game. The lack of originality in the mini games is sort of disappointing.
  4. Thanks to its rock-solid execution, Thrillville delivers an enjoyable batch of minigames in a lighthearted theme park environment.

Greatness is within Thrillville's grasp, but it doesn't push it all the way through.
  6. It feels very much like a collection of lots of mini-games pretending to be an immersing simulation.
  7. A decent theme park sim with some great interactivity, but lacks the depth needed to be great. [Feb 2007, p.76]
  8. Despite being nearly identical games, Thrillville on the PSP is coming out a little ahead of its PS2 brother. [Jan. 2007, p.85]
  9. As with any game that crams a ton of different types of games, the selection is pretty uneven--the racing games, for example, well and truly suck--but there are enough standouts to keep you coming back to the minigames once you've beaten the main game. [Jan. 2007, p.78]

One big advantage that the PSP version has over its console big brothers is that it allows you to use Ad Hoc to trade your custom coasters and racecar tracks.
  11. Offers a metric ton of activities for you to engage in. The sheer variety is unheard of for this genre (on a console anyway), and it all works. That said, little of it is outstanding, and while all the pieces are in place, there isn't a single aspect of this game that will blow you away.
  12. Despite biting off far more than it can chew, Thrillville provides an enjoyable – if somewhat limited – ride.
  13. There is plenty to do in the management of the park and great rewards for success. However, all this is undermined because it is much more fun to play one of the driving, mini-golf, shooting or football games than do all the menial things.

This is a barely passable as a game, and I would've really have liked to have seen this game more polished than it really is, buuut, this IS a roller coaster sim, and I can't get Roller Coaster Tycoon, sooo, it works for me, but I don't think that it would work for anyone who has access to Roller Coaster Tycoon. What on earth is this? Dodgy level design, ripped off mini games, doesn't look very polished.
