Overall, the controls respond well and the actions are done very well.
While I have to quibble about the juming controls being clunky; the action is well-paced, the graphics match the cartoon in lively colors and interesting layout, the story is respectable, and the sound is a nice touch. [Feb 2003, p.110]
A cartoon as cool and stylized as Samurai Jack deserves a game to match, and Virtucraft Studios deliver. [May 2003, p.63]
The main problem with this game, though, is that the developers don't know Jack. [Summer 2003, p.46]
This game isn't a bad little adventure if you're an avid watcher of the Cartoon Network series, or if you just want to hack and slash some futuristic evil; but just be prepared to fight with the controls, and don't expect the most intense action, either.
