For all its Communist coloring, Tonight We Riot is a very stylish, fun and well-presented project. Stylized 8-bit graphics along with hand-drawn violence and powerful music give you a few hours of great immersion.
Great game, from it's fun, simplistic gameplay to it's simple yet charming "8-bit"-ish graphics, this game offers something more than the traditional gaming themes and tries to break the bubble of a demographic that's full of "incels", "ancaps" and "mgtows" (yes, i'm talking about you, gamers), and it does that perfectly. 10/10. Oh, and before i forget, capitalism ****.
This relatively simplistic, 8-bit style game is very fun and offers an ideological alternative to the dominant pro-capitalist, pro-war, imperialist narratives in many video games. TWR is unapologetically anti-police, anti-boss, and and pro-worker. This in an of itself makes TWR a revolutionary game, as there are few like it available (one can also experience revolutionary zeal by playing the game, as its aims for the player are to overthrow capitalism and liberate workers). Anybody who is a communist, socialist, or left anarchist will probably have fun with it. I know I did and continue to.
Great game, with simple but fun gameplay
Story: pretty cool, about bringing down the rich, and making the workers take thrive
Gameplay: simple yet fun. You can go one-on-one with everyone, but the real deal is going up against the enemies with all your comrades.
Soundtrack: was... ok. Not bad, but I didin't think it was great. Sometimes I put the game in mute, and played some Anti-flag, Surra (a hardcore band from my country), and the hype went to the maximum
The cons: A.I. This was the only frustration I had with the game, cuz sometimes the A.I. messed up the whole thing.
Overall: a fun game, with a great message, funny puns, pixelated graphics, and with lots of critics
This game I hope it is satire but if not it completely misses the mark when it comes to the understanding of modern social issues, if you are with Antifa you will love this game, but if you are a reasonable person you might find enjoyment in the gameplay but the story will be extremely off puttting.
