This is both a worthy upgrade and worthy introduction if you’ve never played a game in the series before. The game may be augmented, but they’re augments made for the betterment of mankind.

It follows the same formula, excellent story and open ended problem solving and combines this with RPG elements and modern game play but with Wii U enhancements

This Director's Cut fixes a few big issues of the original Deus Ex Human Revolution. Thanks to the redesigned boss battles and to the great use of the Wii U's GamePad, this is the best version of the title to date. If you didn't play the game two years ago, this is the moment to try one of the most interesting cyberpunk experiences of this generation.

An enhanced version of one of the best action and stealth adventure games. A must-have for Wii U owners.

The better, albeit still a bit rushed, version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Finally the bosses are on par with the rest of the game. [Jan 2014]

Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut may be overlooked by those who have already played it, but it is a robust experience worthy of a playthrough by its own right.

Deus Ex Human Revolution: Director's Cut is, without any doubt, the ultimate version of the masterpiece by Eidos Montreal, and the WiiU Gamepad even manages to ennoble it by adding further interesting mechanics. Unfortunately, the price is way too high for a two-year-old game.

With improvements to the game's flow and excellent second-screen support, the Director's Cut of Human Revolution is the definitive version of an excellent game. Human Revolution would bear replaying even without the enhancements it's a rare title that combines superb world building and storytelling with such dedication to player choice. I lost myself in the world of Human Revolution, and relished every opportunity to dive deeper into its mysteries. Expand

Players will get to relive Adam Jensen's saga in a whole new way. Expanding on the already critically acclaimed game, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the Director's Cut introduces superb second-screen support, reworked boss battles, improved assets and seamless integration of the Missing Link DLC within the main story. Deus Ex: HR itself has an already wonderfully built world complete with a plethora of characters and deep mysteries to them. What the studio has done is truly Deus Ex compared to other modern re-imaginings have done to classic franchises. This game is truly a "modern classic" in my opinion and what this re-release does is improve upon that perfection. Collapse

I will admit, this game is not perfect, but it is damn close to being so. As someone who played the original Deus Ex: Human Revolution on PS3, the new additions and changes made to the game just make it a much better experience. After the first boss in the base Human Revolution, I was blown over by the sudden switch to full-on combat when I was playing a stealth game. Director's Cut mitigates this by adding stealth and ranged options to the boss fights, making the game much more streamlined.

Porting the game to the Wii U was one of the best ideas. The inventive use of the Wii U GamePad makes the game just that little bit more interesting, especially the hacking mechanic, which can now be performed much more quickly with the touch screen. The only criticism I have is the choice to show the sniper reticle on the GamePad, which can sometimes be slightly awkward to use.

The game also has some minor framerate issues in the opening movies, however but for its flaws, Director's Cut is a fantastic update to the brilliant game that was Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

The definitive version of a great game. The director's cut on Wii U features improved boss fights, awesome gamepad functionality (hacking on the gamepad is so much better), the missing link DLC and greatly improved visuals. However, the game still feels a bit old I think the stealth mechanics in newer games like Splinter Cell have spoiled me a bit as the mechanics here feel clunky in comparison. Still the upgrade system is great and it is really fun to try scenarios from various different approaches to see which works best. Definitely recommended to ppl who haven't played it before but not much new for ppl who have. Still, it's the best version of the game and it is worthy of your time if you are planning on playing it through once more. Expand
