It’s not deserving of some of the vitriol it’s received as it’s not the worst game ever, but it’s just so painfully average in so many ways that it may actually be worse by not being a worse game.
Its exploration is so-so, its brawling is tedious, its characters are annoying, and the only stages where it feels like a Sonic game are the ones most likely to suffer technical problems.
It's an awesome sonic game deserved to be played by all. I loved the characters of the boom franchise the story and the gameplay styles as well as all characters being playable. It's a fun and enjoying adventure and deserves many good reviews. The story is awesome and on par with the boom franchise which I love and hope it continues soon with a third season.i hope many will see the potential of this game and its amazing cutscenes that are identical to watching full life episodes of the sonic boom series in terms of quality and animation. Also, those who like uncharted, Indiana Jones will probably like it a lot too. The characters are all very likable and friendly with each having unique abilities. It’s a different sonic game but it is in the right direction for a spin off. It has some frame drops and a few performance issues but that is because the cry engine is incompatible with Wiiu architecture. It is understandable that the developers did not have time to change this before launch as the Sega Nintendo deal happened quite quickly. So originally the game was not purposed to be released for the Wii U but it’s okay it’s still awesome and this review is coming from a hardcore sonic fan.
the part where sonic shot eggman and said, "its sonicin time" was great. and when tails turned into a pickle was great. knuckles performing tax evasion was very relatable. when Amy ****** sonic's **** ***** *** ***** **** **** **** *****. great moment. best sonic game since sonic labyrinth
Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric is a worrying misstep for Sega. While we applaud the idea of refreshing the characters for newer audiences, Rise of Lyric feels like a mishmash of ideas that never got to fully develop.
Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric is a real disappointment for Sonic fans. There is basically nothing positive to say about this game. Sonic deserves much better.
Somewhere along the line Sega lost sight of what makes the series work. Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric has a laundry list of problems, and not just problems inherent to the modern Sonic franchise, but failings of basic design.
I really liked this game, the problem is: bugs. There are bugs anywhere. I don't think this game is a Sonic game, because there is no Sonic speed, there is no good music and there is no Super Sonic in the final battle; but, it's a good platform game. I liked the characters, Knuckles is super funny, the story is ok, the level design is ok, but I think could be better on Amy Rose levels... but I think the problem are the bugs. I was thinking to give 6/10 score, but, I made fun with this game, and a game should be fun, so... 7 is my final score.
Sonic has survived many metamorphoses to this day with us. Big Red Button decided to create a Boom universe. It is accepted in this fan base to criticize all coordination changes, and this game is no exception. But is she as bad as they say about her? Well, let's start with the fact that the game was developed on the Cryengine engine, this explains why there are so many problems in the game. Firstly, the game is poorly optimized because of what sagging of the picture happens, characters sometimes get stuck in textures. Secondly, the graphics are also not the highest level, character design, enemies, npc looks a bit soapy. But what can I say the game itself looks like soap. Thirdly, a sad slasher, and a poorly implemented system of interaction between the main characters. Enemies do not create a challenge, except for a battle with Metal Sonic. But considering all these disadvantages, the game does not deserve to be bad, as we see that the authors tried, tried to create a truly new Sonic. Though many people complain about the plot, but take a look at the age rating, and now think is it really bad? The authors tried to fix technical problems by releasing a global patch. They made a kind of pumping system and interaction between the characters, which we have not seen since the Sonic Heroes game. They even made a nice 2D platformer and the same slasher, which we have not seen since the days of Sonic Unleashed either. unlike the same Sonic Forces, the developers of Big Red Button, not the Sonic Team, tried, they didn’t care about this game anyway. They tried to fix technical problems, tried to add those things that were not in Sonic, well, or those that were forgotten by the Sonic Team. And after all this, to say that the game turned out bad, not well, this gentlemen is simply absurd. I understand that the rescue of the drowning, the work of the drowning. But it seems to me that with this game, as with Sonic 2006 and Sonic Unleashed, they acted cruelly.
Éste juego es un juego hermoso con calabazas que crecen del suelo, un sistema de combate mediocre y una historia sin sentido y no le pongo esta nota porque no me allá gustado, si no porque lo podrían haber hecho mejor.
