Swords & Soldiers is one of those games that does exactly what it sets out to do and nothing more. The type of game that you can't be disappointed in, but at the same time doesn't give that little bit extra. This game is essentially a stripped-down CastleStorm, which is justified by its very low price tag. Some of the challenges are quite hard, and the different modes give it a little more replay-ability, which is nice. The dialogue is quite humorous, too. Ultimately, Swords & Soldiers is a great cheap title to pick up if you're bored, especially if you're a fan of the tower-defense genre. Expand

  1. You'll struggle to find a tactical eShop game that offers more bang for your buck. [Aug 2014, p.76]

It's a fun strategy game which you play with the GamePad. There are different campaigns to play and it's really addictive because of all the things you have to handle at the same time: money, soldiers, mana and so on.

With its touch-control scheme, the Wii U seems like the perfect place for the game, except for the lack of online mode and extra DLC.
