  • Summary: [WiiWare] The beloved childhood pastime of lazy Sundays spent with a magnifying glass and an ant farm finally arrives in its most mischievous form via the WiiWare service. You must train your colony of Super Ants using a devilishly fun toolset. Zap, torch and manipulate your ants to make them numerous enough and tough enough to survive a variety of increasingly difficult challenges. [Nintendo] Expand
Score distribution:
  1. Positive: 0 out of 7
  2. Negative: 3 out of 7
  1. Definitely not for everyone but quirky enough to appeal to some strategy fans. [Aug 2010, p.98]
  2. But in the end Ant Nation is just a fun, quirky game that most people with a sense of humor and at least a passing interest in strategy will get some pleasure out of.
  3. 70
The main game alone will keep you busy for several hours. Constantly grinding your ants and hoarding food will give you plenty of time to become familiar with Ant Nation, but will also become tedious.
  4. The majority of Ant Nation is a slow-paced, disturbing affair with little variety. It controls well, but that's about the only good thing about it. Unless you're starved for ant simulation games, this should be left on the virtual shelf.
