  1. Smash Hits does absolutely nothing to advance the GH brand in any way, but if you’ve long since packed up your PS2 it’s a great way to get your hands on some old-school favorites.
  2. It would be a tough buy decision for a series veteran, but is a more than recommended acquisition for those who want to jump into the music genre.
  3. It's a full-blown retail release with only about half of the amount of songs in World Tour and the forthcoming Guitar Hero V. If you are absolutely desperate for more Guitar Hero, then Smash Hits is worth it. Everyone else is better off sitting tight for the next full-featured release.
  4. It offers nothing new but it's a Guitar Hero game with nearly 50 of the best songs in the series' history, so that's not a bad thing.
  5. If this is your first Guitar Hero experience, then indulge. If you've played these songs before, wait for new songs in the upcoming Guitar Hero 5.
  6. Smash Hits for the Wii pays great homage to Activision’s Guitar Hero franchise.
  7. Guitar Hero: Smash Hits is the perfect compilation disc to pick up if you have missed some of the other editions along the way.
  8. Guitar Hero: Smash Hits is an incredibly fun game and one that will definitely keep you entertained until Guitar Hero V arrives.

What!?!? Yet ANOTHER Guitar Hero revamp? Don't get me wrong, when GH first came out I busted my butt to get up to the great songs, rockedWhat!?!? Yet ANOTHER Guitar Hero revamp? Don't get me wrong, when GH first came out I busted my butt to get up to the great songs, rocked the '80s and laughed my AO at the "Psychobilly" kid(which was in my opinion staged) but after awhile it got old. After all, how many times can you smash at 5 buttons while flicking the bar?!? That's it...the whole game...follow along, smash the buttons, flick the bar. At least Rockband gave us a few more options. Full Review »

This game delivers exactly what it promises. Master recordings with full band charts from some of the best GH songs. Great for This game delivers exactly what it promises. Master recordings with full band charts from some of the best GH songs. Great for drummers/singers or anyone who never got a chance to rock out to some of these classics before. One thing to note, however, is just how bad the IGN review is. Complaining that the charts are differrent from before? WOW way to prove you have no knowledge of the genre and no business reviewing the game. Master recordings and cover versions will always be different.... that's kinda how it works. Full Review »
