  • Summary: Play as Mumble in the ultimate adventure to win the heart of Gloria and save the Emperor penguin nation. Based on Warner Bros. Pictures' comedy adventure Happy Feet, Midway's immersive videogame puts the player in the "tap shoes" of Mumble, a young penguin born into a nation of Emperor penguins - where each needs a Heartsong to attract a soul mate. Unfortunately, Mumble is the worst singer in the world... however, as it happens, he is a brilliant tap dancer! [Midway] Expand

  1. This is the sort of game that's perfect for the Wii Remote as anyone can pick it up. [Jan 2007, p.79]
  2. Happy Feet is sure to please kids, at least for a while, and in that sense the game is a success. Still, the game is fairly insubstantial and could have benefited from some platforming in between its minigames, a la "Rayman: Raving Rabbids."

With its simplistic game mechanics and lack of diversity Happy Feet isn’t going to set the world on fire.
  4. None of these activities are particularly intriguing, and after playing each one once, you'll have seen pretty much everything the game has to offer. [Jan. 2007, p.116]

While the title does feature the same story and characters as its silver screen counterpart, it lacks the charm. The basic gameplay mechanics are incredibly simple and they repeat so often that the action is doomed for monotony.
  6. It’s great too see the movie’s characters like Mumble and Gloria but the Wii controls are used in a gimmicky way that adds very little substance to a game that could have been really fun.
  7. Even for a quick rush license game, this a new standard in how incomplete a game could be. What troubles most is that each of the games feels like a flash game. These could all easily be played on a keyboard and mouse, than any controller let alone the Wii Remote.

This game is pretty good because it uses controls to help you play the wii better. I gave this review because it is not bad or not that good. The game is also pretty simple. Expand

I don't think a game can get simpler. This is even a disgrace to the bargain rack. With almost no motion control, and very simple challenges, this game should have been advertised to younger children. The tap dancing is slow paced and uses only the d-pad. Not to mention that it is another DDR ripoff. This is one of those games that gave licensed titles a bad rap. Avoid this mess at all costs- Nintendo made a mistake approving this garbage. Expand
