  1. My Horse & Me is a well produced family oriented game that focuses on the fun of owning a horse. Spending time with your virtual horse is stress free, simple to learn and most importantly, fun.
  2. The controls are definitely hard to grasp at first, but if you can overcome those, then you'll have a great time playing this equestrian game.
  3. The controls can be a little frustrating, but this game played well.
  4. 45
It barely even acknowledges we're playing, so there's no encouragement to put up with its poor design and ugly visuals.
  5. The poor controls make the game far too frustrating to enjoy, and even if the controls weren't there, the lackluster gameplay and low-quality visuals make it seem as if the developers were just as bored with making the title as I was with playing it.
  6. So, if you are really desperate for that horse riding experience that so many games haven’t delivered, then I’m sure all three of you will find happiness with this title. For the rest of you, please just stay away.
  7. My Horse & Me is shovel-ware, pure and simple. It looks ugly, its gameplay is limited, and its primary features—show jumping and item-collecting—bear little resemblance to its target audience.
  8. My Horse & Me is an unfinished product, an experiment in making a horse game on the Wii and somebody somewhere should be ashamed to have slapped a $30 price tag on it.
  9. The definitive horse game out there, not that that's a hard claim considering the competition. Still, those with a love of equine action will be more than happy with what it offers. [Feb 2008, p.86]
  10. 70
Admittedly, the Wii-mote motion control of your horse's reins is fun and we were surprised at how it held our attention. As far as horse games go, My Horse and Me is a thoroughbred.
  11. A game that has much potential, but falls short. A good idea with poor execution.
  12. While the overall design and extras are decent, without a consistent feel to its controls, My Horse & Me isn't worth saddling up.
  13. Only young girls or parents will value this game. It's family fun, and obviously aimed at the pre-teen girl demographic. A nice gift for a child; not so much for a boyfriend.
  14. There’s just not enough redeeming qualities in horse-riding to keep me interested in it long enough.
  15. Controls seem fluid once you get the hang of them, but the customisation/grooming is worse than some GBA animal games - and they don't have a ready-made stroking device in the form of the Wii remote. [Jan 2008, p.65]
  16. Multiplayer allow up to four people to play one after another in show jumping competitions, much like in the single-player mode. This ultimately adds little to the experience, especially since each player needs to have his or her own controller.

Although the graphics are better than any horse game i`ve previously played, its gets very boring, very fast. There is more to horse ridingAlthough the graphics are better than any horse game i`ve previously played, its gets very boring, very fast. There is more to horse riding than just show jumping. It would have been MUCH better if they had included dressage, cross country, 3 day eventing, or western events in here. Its very easy to beat & isn`t exactly entertaining. There is also no time to spend with your horse, other than grooming it, which is very boring. It would have been nice to have a trail ride option or a ride for fun, without the confinement of a fence (like in the free ride thats in the game now) all in all, it was a good game, entertaining for a short amount of time, but besides the good graphics, it didn`t have much to offer Full Review »
