In small doses, Pool Party is capable of providing some entertainment, but marathon single-player sessions just seem pointless. Playing against another human opponent is the better way to go, and it extends the playability significantly.
-
40Pool Party, though, with its obfuscated control scheme, obscuring camera angles, and generally unfriendly interface, leaves a lot to be desired.
-
A miserable, awkward and unsatisfying excuse for a pool game. [Oct 2008, p.85]
-
24The game is about on par with a chop-shop web game, and does very little to use the Wii controls at all.
-
22Everything you can think of is wrongfully done in this game.
-
20It was a game no-one noticed because no-one should notice this. Ever. Don't bother looking at it never mind buying or renting it.
-
Quite simply, Pool Party is the worst game available on the Wii.
-
To put bluntly, Pool Party really is a load of balls.
-
10Pool Party isn't pretty, it doesn't sound nice and it definitely isn't clever. Aside from the obvious fact that World Championship Snooker is the best cue-sports game around at the moment, not only do I genuinely believe that the original incarnation of Virtual Pool circa 1996 is infinitely better than this, I personally would rather be playing an online portable pool game such as Yahoo! Pool, which while only being 2D and top-down, plays a much truer game and is a lot more fun.

10We really wanted to give it a 0/10, but it does actually exist and that is surely enough to warrant it getting 1/10. Needless to say, this game is terrible.

MichelleH.2One of the few times that I bought a game without looking at reviews first. what a mistake. Just plain awful.
