  • Summary: [WiiWare] Reel Fishing Challenge offers a fun and challenging experience for novice fishers and master anglers alike. Put your skills to the test and discover new types of fish in the challenging mission mode, or relax and enjoy the game at your own pace in free play mode. No matter which mode you play, the game's beautiful graphics and natural setting bring the fishing experience to life. Choose from a variety of lures to attract and hook the game's numerous fish. Each fish looks and moves like the real thing - it's the closest you can get to real-life fishing without putting on your waders. [Nintendo] Collapse

  1. It isn’t a must have title by any means but genuinely interested players should find enough redeeming qualities to make this one worth a download.
  2. Like the game's focus, the realism on the graphics could only be great, and are. For a WiiWare game, the textures are extremely detailed and, in addition to the great sound effects and fish movements, it creates an atmosphere like the one promised.

Surely there is a lake or a pond or some body of water near you where you can actually fish. Do that instead. Reel Fishing Challenge is an exercise in tedium.

Not even worth the 5 dollars it costs. The gameplay is boring, can easily be mastered in less than a minute, and just plain stupid. This is the worst fishing game I have ever played. Take your 5 bucks and find something better to waste it on. Expand

As a $5 download, this is a waste of money. THe single player only gets to fish at one location, with one set of tackle, and only for trout/salmon. With only a handful of missions, the game is easily mastered and beaten with nothing left to explore after only an hour or two (probably less if you've actually fished before). The graphics and gameplay are intriguing and leave you wanting much more, so this game is a big disappointment. Expand
