  1. A re-release of the GameCube remake, which remains a masterclass in atmosphere after all these years.
  2. Boasting an intense atmosphere, satisfying puzzles and nail-biting combat, it's a game that will linger long in the memory for those who succumb to its dark allure. If you missed out on this the first or even second time around, then now's the time to pick up a true classic - at the right price.
  3. One could say RE: Archives it's an easy way to make money on Wii with a 7-year-old game. It may be so, but Capcom's title also represents a great chance for those who never played the first episode in the series.
  4. If you missed the Gamecube remake it's worth a look. It's a shame nothing much has been added for the Wii version though. [Aug 2009, p.84]

  1. Resident Evil is a remake of the title that solely gave the survival horror genre the popularity it deserves in the video game industry. Everything a person would want in a remake is present. Updated graphics that match the quality of the current generation of consoles, better sound effects that give the games environment the perfect atmosphere and more area to explore that helps pacing and story progression. Really, a masterpiece and a title any fan of the genre shouldn't go with out playing. Expand

Its a classic. reborn and reborn again. Still pleases the eyes after all these years. Absolutly worth a buy if you havent played the gamecube version ."there virtually the same games but with wiimote controls" It would get a 10 but the controls do have a learning curve as did the previous games. 30 minutes and you will be able to control no problem. But their will always be that occational wall bump. BUY IT! Expand

The graphics are outdated, the controls are clunky, the camera is annoying at times, but is it still one of the greatest survivor horror games of all time?! You betcha. Loved every minute of it and this classic will outlast all those Halos, Gears of War and GTAs for years to come. Expand
