  • Summary: Be a powerful mayor -- create, enjoy and destroy your ultimate city. Start by zoning your city, constructing homes, businesses, factories, skyscrapers, freeways, railroads, and much more. SimCity Creator is a visually exciting experience with a completely new user interface, designed specifically for the Wii and the Wii remote. You'll discover many ways to customize your city, including 13 city styles to explore, such as American, European and Asian themes. You can also place a selection of more than 30 "Hero" buildings into your city to make it distinctive and momentous. Some of these iconic buildings are based on the current day, some on history and some on fantasy. The more city styles you explore, the more Hero building options you have. For the first time, take the liberty to build transportation systems with free placement of rounded and curved roads and rail lines, taking your city to new creative and curvy heights. And get a new perspective on your cityscape from a helicopter, a jet or a propeller plane which you can use to fly over your creation. Check out what you've built in your aircraft of choice. Disasters that players of SimCity always love remain an important and entertaining element in SimCity Creator. Using the Wii remote you can create earthquakes, tornados, call in destructive robots and monsters, create fires and discover many more ways to cause havoc. You created it, and now you can destroy it. [Electronic Arts] Expand

  1. Probably the most accessible SimCity to date; certainly not dumbed down. Great stuff. [Dec 2008, p.70]
  2. I would enjoy SimCity any time, and veterans of this series will love SimCity Creator immensely, while newcomers will enjoy it even as they learn to play this unique city-building simulation. One caveat; I wouldn't recommend this game if you do not have the time to invest.
  3. It's somewhat flawed, but SimCity Creator still has the core elements that make the SimCity franchise a joy. For those of you who have watched your speck of a city swell into a metropolis know what I'm talking about. And those of you who haven't, well, now would be a good time to start!

Excellent Simcity game...take your city from Caveman times through various ages, gets very challenging to keep it on top. Nice little DS game.

Graphics and gameplay is dumbed-down from Simcity 4, but it is still enjoyable. More thought into controls would have been nice, doesn't seem polished. Expand

If you have always loved Simcity you will love this game! It will take you 20 mins to get use to the controls, but once that hurdle is past you can enjoy a core Simcity game with some nice extras. If you own Simicty 4 on PC, their is hardly a point to spend the $$. But if you don't, its a must buy! Expand
