I feel confident in saying that Super Swing Golf: Season 2 is by far the best golf title on the Wii. While the game doesn't really break any new ground, its execution is nearly flawless.
While much of the content in Super Swing Golf Season 2 is carried over from the original, it's presented in a way that makes the game fresh and exciting again, and is no longer a chore on the single-player side.
While the Super Swing Golf series still dominates the greens on Wii, hopefully the developers will put more time in between editions so as to focus on improving the swing mechanic and visuals, while incorporating online features for a truly worthwhile experience.
Though the improvements are minimal, Super Swing Golf Season 2 is more enjoyable than its predecessor.
Progressing from a lucky-club-swinging rookie whose every shot is a hook or a slice to a seasoned golfer using advanced club sets in Super Swing Golf: Season 2 is entertaining -- if you are patient enough to learn the ropes.
Could and should have been a lot better, if only it wasn't crippled by technical letdowns and questionable design choices. [Mar 2008, p.58]
Season 2 will help satisfy series or genre fans' lust for collecting things by virtually golfing, but by failing to add a satisfying online experience to the game -- the first game's real weak spot -- 2 is more expansion pack than true sequel.
