Yes, the comp AI is average... (They will not fold....ever) but online is awesome. If the rules of poker are upheld and the game works well, how can you go wrong? What are these reviews saying it needs "personality"? Do they want full HD 3D rendered characters pulling faces and doing stupid voices? Losers.

This game is absolutely terrible. There is no challenge whatsoever. I've found that if you just keep raising the computer will fold every time. The AI offers no challenge. As far as the online play goes, I could never find enough people to play a tournament. Don't waste money on this game.

  1. Texas Hold’em Tournament plays a good game of poker and is quite entertaining, but at the end of the day it’s a safe conversion of the card game without adding much, if any, innovation where it is perhaps much needed. The online multiplayer is a nice inclusion but when all is weighed up it just isn’t different enough from playing against the dull AI characters to be worth much in the long run.

Online play with rankings tables and Mii support is the big draw (no pun intended) here. [June 2009, p.73]

It's a playable but basic version of Hold 'em, but the graphics make the game hard to take seriously. If you require nothing more than an online poker game, this'll do. But those that look for art, style, or personality in their games will need to look elsewhere.
